Saugatuck, Michigan (AP) – The decision of a congress in Michigan to run for the governor has opened one of the most competitive house seats in the country, so that the Republicans strive to replace one of their top performers in the state and to give the Democrats a sudden opportunity to win a seat in the narrowly shared congress.
Since the US representative John James starts a well-expected run for the governor on Monday, two Democrats have the opportunity to represent Michigans 10th congress district this week.
The former public prosecutor Christina Hines came first and announced its offer on the same day. It was supported by the Democrat Carl Marlinga, who lost in the last two parliamentary elections in the district against James, which was created by redistribution according to the US volume of 2020.

Michigans 10th congress district comprises the southern County County and parts of the Oakland County in the suburbs of Detroit.
