Education Minister Miguel Cardona caused an uproar among school choice advocates after posting a strange message on X-Saturday.
I have said it before and I will say it again: parents do not want politicians to tell their children what they can learn, think and believe. This is not how public education should work in a free country.

Corey DeAngelis, a prominent school choice advocate supported by Donald Trump, responded quickly.
BREAKING NEWS: Joe Biden’s Secretary of Education speaks out against the public school system 🚨

Thank you for inadvertently supporting school choice.

Cardona was certainly not a school choice advocate, but his words were so perfect that they could have come straight from the mouth of DeAngelis or any other school choice advocate.
Liberalization of schools is widespread. One of the biggest concerns is gender ideology and what our children are being taught about sex. Parents are not asked what topics should be covered or how they want them covered, and they have virtually no rights to oppose the school. Some states also have stricter homeschooling laws that make it even harder, if not impossible, for parents to control what ideology is being taught to their children. Is that what Cardona meant? Because that is how millions of Americans feel about the education system he presides over.
He also tweeted on Friday that the Biden-Harris team is helping children all over the world to succeed, compared to Miscellaneous that only sow discord. In reality, the blatant agenda of the left in schools is Exactly the reason why we are experiencing more division today than ever before.
While some politicians are wreaking havoc in the classroom, the Biden-Harris team is equipping schools and children with the resources they need to succeed.
That is the power of investing in public education.

Libs of the TikTok founder Chaya Raichik started the viral social media account by accident, simply sharing videos during the COVID pandemic. Over time, she found that exposing teachers’ extremely liberal agendas resonated with parents everywhere.
“When you see the same thing over and over again, you realise how widespread it is. In the beginning, the left always said I was picking the worst of the worst… but then you see it over and over again, and here I am, three years later, and every day there is more content.”
Our problem is that government officials like Miguel Cardona say things that sound nice – like that schools respect parents over government – but then do things that show the exact opposite: They are steadfast only to their party and the power they want over Americans. And let’s not forget his bullying emails last month promoting the Democratic Party to student loan borrowers everywhere.
Another recent and remarkable example of a bold crossing of boundaries is the adoption of a The invoice The will “School districts will be prohibited from requiring their staff to disclose information about a student’s sexual orientation or gender identity to parents, and school staff will be protected from retaliation for refusing to inform parents of a child’s gender preference.” As RedState reported, this controversy was the straw that broke the camel’s back, which in response announced it would move its aerospace company’s headquarters from California to Texas.
Using Cardona’s own words against him, what does that mean for parents who “don’t want politicians telling their kids what to believe?” Parents everywhere should see Cardona’s tweet for what it is: gaslighting.
The left has shown time and time again that it is committed to its agenda and refuses to give up control of our schools. I have said it before and I will say it again: Family is on the ballot in November. With Kamala and Walz being the most left-wing candidates we have ever seen on a presidential ticket, the stakes are high. We must vote for the candidates who will protect the American family, promote parental rights and Really Help children to develop.
