It’s always fun to read the social media posts of Elon Musk, the billionaire Twitter/X owner and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, because you never know what he’s going to say next. And although he hasn’t identified himself as a Republican or a conservative, he’s likely to be the subject of some grave moaning from the woke crowd these days.
His latest target is Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, who has turned the once-popular “Star Wars” franchise into a series of poorly performing streaming shows and movies that prioritize gender politics over, well, plot and engaging storylines. As we reported at RedState, the latest disastrous production – “The Acolyte” – is about lesbian witches who procreate using the Force. I know “Star Wars” is a fantasy, but I bet there’s no such thing in any universe.
Musk chimed in with his usual biting humor, liking a post that took a dig at Kennedy and adding, “She’s deadlier than the Death Star!”
It’s deadlier than the Death Star!

However, he was not finished yet and on Saturday he continued:
Kathleen Kennedy is extremely misogynistic

“Kathleen Kennedy is extremely misogynistic.” Phew. The truth hurts.
Brandon Morse, Brad Slager, and other RedState writers have written extensively about how bad The Acolyte is; here are a few:
I think I’ll skip this one:
The creator of Disney’s “The Acolyte” tries to deny the originally celebrated woke content
“Nonbinary” star of “The Acolyte” suffers complete nervous breakdown, writes shrewd “diss track” of Star Wars fans
Star Wars is now called “Lesbian Space Witches” … this is no joke
Kennedy, however, is uncompromising:
Kennedy – who has been president of Lucasfilm since Disney bought the film and production company founded by “Star Wars” creator George Lucas in 2012 – has defended her decision to hire Leslye Headland to direct “The Acolyte,” which is currently streaming on Disney+…
Headland is the first woman to create a television series for the franchise. She has tried to make “The Acolyte” more diverse by casting minority actors, including Amandla Stenberg, who identifies as nonbinary and lesbian, and Korean star Lee Jung-jae.
The narrative in “The Acolyte,” which has caused a stir, suggests that powerful witches belonging to an all-female coven – led by mother Aniseya, played by actress Jodie Turner-Smith – used the power to create female offspring, who are the main characters of the twins, played by Amandla Stenberg.
Yes, that sounds like a promising plot. No.
Artists should be able to make films about what moves them, and no one is arguing that LGBTQ themes should be banned; if people want to see that stuff, there’s a place for it. Kennedy – and Disney as a whole – have failed by injecting controversial gender theories into almost everything they put out these days. Naturally the original Star Wars films had a predominantly male fan base – there were lightsabers, pretty women, dastardly villains and spaceships; what’s not to like? The problem with Disney and Kathleen Kennedy’s recent approach is that they imply through their words and actions that Something is wrong here.
But that’s not true. There’s plenty of content that attracts more female viewers than male viewers – I don’t spend my time watching Hallmark movies or Real Housewives of Whatever; I’m not interested in those things in the slightest, and that’s fine. But imagine if they introduced a WWE storyline in the latest Little Women adaptation (definitely starring Keira Knightley); that wouldn’t make sense, would it? From pretty ladies in their finest dresses talking about their feelings to sweaty men fighting in a cage? I guess that wouldn’t be a box office hit.
Once again, Musk manages to sum up a topic in just a few words. He must be doing something right – he has 188 million followers. Posts like this show why this is so.
Twitter/X has broken free from the shackles of its previous censorship regime under Musk, but the same cannot be said for all of Big Tech’s thought police, who regularly attempt to demonetize us, censor us, or secretly ban our content.
