While the entire country is trying to sultry to the idea of Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate, the hand of Barack Obama can be seen behind the scenes. Obama’s “wingman,” former Attorney General and friend Eric Holder, and his law firm Covington Burling, LLP have been hired to review possible vice presidential candidates for Kamala Harris.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder is responsible for vetting nominees for Vice President Kamala Harris. Reuters reported.
The news that Holder and his law firm would oversee the operation was confirmed to POLITICO by a person familiar with the matter.

As one longtime but current Justice Department employee told us, Holder and his subordinates have “racialized and radicalized” the department and taken it “to the point of corruption.” They have “infiltrated politically left-wing extremists into the career ranks whose agenda is inconsistent with equal treatment or the rule of law; who believe the end justifies the means; and who behave unprofessionally and unethically. Their policy is to intimidate and threaten employees who disagree with their political views, and even moderate Democrats have left the department because they were treated as enemies by administration officials and their lackeys. Another black employee who has worked for the Justice Department for decades told me, ‘There is no justice left in the Justice Department under this administration.'”
These corrupt, racist and radicalized structures never went away, of course. They rested comfortably under Obama’s fresh Attorney General Loretta Lynch and then undoubtedly wreaked havoc during the Trump administration – which is why Jeff Sessions and William Barr could hardly do anything really productive. Then Merrick Garland simply picked up where Holder left off. Holder was successful in sowing the seeds, and since 2016 we have been reaping the harvest. This is the Deep State in brief.
His involvement in the vetting process could reassure Democrats that a long-standing political and legal hand will lend a hand ensure that Harris’s choice, should she win the nomination, is free of major conflicts. Any choice must also be capable of helping her beat Republican Donald Trump and possibly one day assume the presidency should she triumph in November but then eventually become unable to perform her duties.
Possible candidates for Harris’ candidacy include Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, U.S. Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper.
It seems that Holder will also ensure that Harris’s vice president supports her plans and is a competent attack dog without overshadowing her.
Think of 2016 with Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine.
That means California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro are unlikely to make the shortlist. Holder’s selection as vice president will undoubtedly lend a hand solidify the work of fundamentally transforming America.
