Even left-wing CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale has to condemn Tim Walz for the latest whopper

CNN’s Daniel Dale has a history of playing for Democrats, issuing fact checks that defy common sense, let alone reality. Every now and then, however, even he realizes that if he wants to maintain even an ounce of credibility, he must tell the truth.

Dale was forced to admit that Kamala Harris’ running mate, Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, had falsified the facts his most recent appearance with the Harridans from “The View”:

CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale corrected Minnesota Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz’s claims about the Trump-era economy, making an essential observation that some numbers were taken out of context.

“Let’s talk about manufacturing,” anchor Kate Bolduan told Dale while speaking on “CNN News Central” Tuesday. “We are rebuilding Manufactured in the United States is a focus of both campaigns.”

She then played an excerpt from Walz his most recent appearance on ABC’s “The View,” where he had claimed, “We want to make sure you’re able to move forward with production.” [Democrat presidential nominee] Kamala Harris said. We know it [Republican nominee] Donald Trump has lost more manufacturing jobs than any other president in American history. That’s just factual.”

Oops, Tim, that’s actually not “simply factual”. It’s bogus news. Implied profanity warning:

Dale continued to provide receipts showing that Walz was flat out spreading “misinformation” (known in some circles as lies):

“Well, if you want to say something is simply factual, then it should be factual. That’s not the case.” he said. “It is not true that the Trump presidency has lost more manufacturing jobs than any other presidency. About 4.5 million manufacturing jobs were lost under George W. Bush. Under Trump it was about 178,000.”

He added that other previous presidents lost far more manufacturing jobs during their time in office, such as Eisenhower, Ford and Reagan. “So Trump doesn’t have the record,” Dale said.

Dale pointed out that during his tenure there was a little thing called COVID panic that affected the numbers:

Dale also argued that people criticize Trump’s economy ignore the fact that there was a historic pandemic during his presidency.

“I think it’s also worth pointing out, for context, that these Trump manufacturing job losses are overwhelmingly due to the COVID pandemic,” he said. “Before the pandemic, there was an increase of approximately 414,000 manufacturing jobs under Trump. It ended here too.” [at] minus 178,000, but that was largely because we had a pandemic-related crash.”

He’s not always so straightforward:

There are less than two weeks left in this madcap campaign season, and as the final days enter, expect more disinformation from desperate Democrats as they realize their prospects are fading. When even Daniel Dale has to call a foul, you know Kamala, Tim and Co. are sputtering complete nonsense.
