VIDEO: Bank plans to auction luxury properties of West Virginia Governor Jim Justice to repay loans
CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — A Virginia-based bank seeking to recover more than $300 million in bad business loans from the family of Republican U.S. Senate candidate and Gov. Jim Justice has reached a settlement with the family, a news release said.
Carter Bank & Trust was preparing to auction off parts of the Greenbrier Sporting Club, a private equity club and residential convoluted that opened in 2000. The family then sued the bank.
According to the agreement, this sale will not take place and the loans will be repaid under a mutual agreement between the Justice family and the bank.
