Embattled Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis probably thought she would make a name for herself by prosecuting former President Donald Trump—maybe she’d become a substantial figure in the Democratic Party, maybe get a cushy administrative post or at least a fat book deal. What she probably didn’t expect was that she herself would be under scrutiny, or that her affair with a prosecutor she hired (Nathan Wade) would come to delicate and he’d be fired from the case by the judge.

She also probably didn’t think the House Judiciary Committee and its chairman, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), would be investigating her utilize of federal funds, but that’s exactly what they’re doing, and Fani isn’t elated about it. She appeared on Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC show on Monday – where else – to poke fun at Jordan and everyone else who she felt were getting in her way.

How dare anyone? question their behavior:

“Jim Jordan has repeatedly attacked my office without legitimate reason,” Willis said in an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. “Anyone who knows the story of Jim Jordan knows that all he cares about is interfering in criminal investigations…”

Ultimately, she was involved [Judiciary Committee’s] She called Monday’s investigation “illegitimate” and called the Ohio Republican’s actions “repugnant.”

“He has now used his tricks and will look at support programs, which I encourage him to do. And we have complied with his subpoenas, but he continues to try to interfere with a criminal investigation,” she said. “This despite the fact that its jurisdiction has one of the highest crime rates and poverty problems.”

Willis faces a primary on Tuesday, and amazingly, despite her scandals and combative behavior, that’s the case expects him to prevail over challenger Christian Wise Smith.

But it’s not just Jordan and the Judiciary Committee that suffer from their wrath; She also criticized government investigators who were concerned about how their funds were being used.

“I’m bringing this up at the federal level because now at the state level they’ve decided to follow this clown’s example and they’re now trying to interfere in an investigation,” she said. “And it’s not legitimate either.”

“And so it will fail and go nowhere. But they try to attack me on every level,” she added.

Meanwhile, her election interference trial against Trump is progressing at a snail’s pace, and it is questionable whether it will actually begin before November’s presidential election. If the process isn’t over by then and Trump wins another term, the whole charade will be one substantial Fani fiasco because the point was to stop Trump.
