Change is coming to Washington DC – we all know it, we all feel it, and many of us conservatives are looking forward to it. Things cannot continue as before under the pernicious Biden-Harris regime; Our country will not survive.
But with change comes uncertainty, and with up-to-date President Donald Trump comes surprises. Buy Greenland? Retake the Panama Canal? DOGE? I’ll admit it, I didn’t necessarily have these on my bingo card.
On Tuesday, Trump unveiled his latest idea: the External Revenue Service (ERS). The future president posted his proposal on Truth Social:
For far too long we have relied on taxing our great people through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Through supple and woefully feeble trade agreements, the American economy has brought growth and prosperity to the world while burdening ourselves. It’s time for that to change…

I am announcing today that I will be establishing the EXTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE to collect our customs duties, tariffs and all revenue from foreign sources. We will start charging those who make money with us to trade and they will FINALLY pay their fair share. January 20, 2025 will be the birth date of the External Revenue Service. Trump said he planned to launch the up-to-date company immediately:
The up-to-date president added that the ERS will be created on January 20 to “trade to put the burden on those who make money with us, and they will FINALLY pay their fair share.”
Trump, 78, has already threatened to raise tariffs on countries that do not comply with his tough immigration policies. The president-elect highlighted it Mexico and Canada threatening a 25% tariffand has also said he will “stop doing business” with countries that refuse to take back deported illegal migrants.
The Republican has also said he will file an insurrection 10 to 20% duty on all foreign goods And up to 60% tariff on Chinese imports.

“We will finally have a government agency that actually helps Americans instead of bleeding them dry with taxes and regulations.” said DC_Draino.
Meanwhile, economist EJ Antoni of the Heritage Foundation said “The said [NY] post that I really, really love this idea.
We’ll just have to wait and see how this whole thing plays out and whether the idea comes to fruition, but one thing is certain: Donald Trump is bringing up-to-date ideas and a up-to-date way of doing business to the swamp of Washington, DC. This is what we’re going to do. Everyone needs to be on their guard .
