Washington (AP) – The Republicans of the House Oversight Committee gave a summons to Anthony Bernal on Thursday, a senior advisor to the former first Lady Jill Biden, as part of her rapidly expanding investigations against the mental fitness of the former president Joe Biden.

Bernal, signed by Rep. James Comer from Kentucky, the Republican chairman of Republicans, demands to appear on July 16 for a deposit. After several weeks from back and forth with Bernal’s lawyer about the timing of a voluntary interview.

“In view of their close connection, both with the former President Biden and the former First Lady Jill Biden, the committee tried to understand whether they contributed to the effort to hide the fitness of the former president Biden to serve the American people,” says the summons. “In order to avoid further delays, their appearance before the committee is now forced.”

Bernal is the second former Biden employee who was charged by the committee and is probably not the last. This week, the committee heard voluntary statements by Nera Tanden, a former director of the domestic political consultant of Biden, and would like to ensure interviews with several other members of Bidens Inner Circle.

Bernal did not answer a message on Thursday that was looking for a comment.

Comer also has Dr. Kevin O’Connor in charge, who acted as a bidens doctor in the White House. O’Connor will testify in front of the committee on July 9th.

It is all part of a remarkable Republican efforts supported by President Donald Trump to examine the last occupants of the Oval Office six months after leaving the office. Trump himself has instructed the lawyers of the White House and the Ministry of Justice to examine bidges and questioned the legitimacy of his utilize of the car to sign pardon and other documents.

According to an official of the White House, who was not entitled to speak publicly, Trump has lifted the GOP examination for eight former Biden administrative officials to testify the congress, including Bernal.

With the eliminated privilege, former employees are free to discuss their interactions with bidges while he was president.

In addition to Bernal, the Executive Privilege for Biden House Senior Adviser Mike Donilon and Anita Dunn, former chief of staff of the White House, Ron Klain, former deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed, former advisor of President Steve Ricchetti, former deputy head of staff, Annie, Annie Tomasini, and a former assistant President, Ashley Williams. Comer is looking for interviews with everyone.

Democrats have rejected the examination in bidens mental state as a partisan exercise, which is distracted by other urgent questions.

MP Wesley Bell, a Democrat in Missouri who is sitting on the Supervisory Committee, said after the interview with Tanden that “it was an exceptional waste of time” and “no new evidence”.

According to Bell, legislators should concentrate on topics such as the costs of food, housing and potential changes in health policy instead of “a way after the introduction or whatever we do here”.

The development investigation has a significant impact on politics and politics. The Republican legislators have argued that all executives or guidelines that were enacted by the autopen process could be invalid if bidges somehow put out of action during the office or not by a solid state of mind.

Trump and his allies claim without evidence that bidges are not aware of the actions that his administration is not aware of a number of questions, including presidential supports, among other things in a number of topics.

A move to reverse such executives that are with a legal certainty of a legal examination and a struggle before the courts could affect the points of executive regulations that were taken up during the term of bidies.

“Let this summons send a clear message to Biden’s inner circle: We will not stop at anything to uncover the truth about Joe Biden’s decline (and) unauthorized use of the car,” wrote comer on social media.

A few weeks ago, Biden said that as President he had control over control.

“Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency. I made the decisions about pardoning, executive commands, laws and proclamations,” said the former president in a statement. “Every suggestion that I didn’t do is ridiculous and wrong.”

Trump has instructed his government this month to examine Biden’s actions as President, and argued that the support of a “conspiracy” was involved in the masking of bidges mental state. The Republicans of the Senate also started their own inquiries.

“We need to know who was responsible in the last months of the bid administration. Was it his wife, his chief of staff, nameless other? None of these people were elected by the American people, and they were not approved by the constitution and the laws of the United States to fulfill the president of the United States,” said Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said in a hearing in June.
