Washington (AP) – The government of President Donald Trump once again entered the Supreme Court on Wednesday to keep the financing of foreign aid frozen in the amount of billions of dollars.
The Ministry of Justice submitted an emergency room that applied for a quick intervention to stop decisions by the Lower Court who flow the money, including global health and HIV and AIDS programs.
The judges showed the Trump administration on this topic at the beginning of this year, but the court was divided 5-4. Since then, the judges have dealt with administration in several top -class cases.
The Republican administration states that the funds in question include around 12 billion US dollars, which would have to be issued by September 30th if the lower court’s orders exist. They argued that the March order of a judge who requires the financing to incorrectly affected the negotiations between the president and congress on the cuts.
Trump has presented foreign aid as wasteful expenses that do not match its foreign policy goals.
A shared three-judge committee of the Court of Appeal in Washington allowed the government to suspend the financing at the beginning of this month, but the full court rejected the freezing immediately.
Non -profit organizations that sued the government have declared that the funding fries are breaking the federal law and even hiring the most urgent lifelong programs abroad. Attorney Lauren Batemen said that it was more than five months since the original arrangement, and the court should look through the trick that the government would be violated by complying with it.
