The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Trump campaign, along with the Arizona Republican Party, made a major announcement tardy Tuesday evening in hopes of making the 2024 election fair and free in the Copper State. And the best part is that the person who will assume legal responsibility is a name familiar to many conservatives.
In a joint statement, RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and co-chair Lara Trump, as well as Trump campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, said conservative and civil rights attorney Harmeet Dhillon has taken the lead on the campaign’s election integrity team, whose goal is to “Stop Stop the Democrats from interfering and secure Arizona“s elections,” says a press release.
They continued in a statement:
“We are proud to announce President Trump’s appointment of Harmeet Dhillon as our new general counsel in Arizona. She will lead critical litigation, stop the many attacks on the integrity of our elections, and lead our winning Election Integrity Team to Protect the Vote. Election integrity is a top priority for President Trump, his campaign and the RNC, and with a fair and secure election, Arizona will send President Trump back to the White House. Harmeet is an unmatched force for election integrity and will lead and win the fight to secure Arizona’s elections – our country’s most important election.”
Arizona GOP Chairwoman Gina Swoboda also chimed in, calling Arizona “the battleground of this election.”
She continued to praise the appointment of Harmeet Dhillon, saying she is “ready to lead the fight” and that the state’s Republicans “are committed to an straightforward and secure election system that properly counts every legal vote.”
She added: “Arizona residents and Americans deserve nothing less, and we are full steam ahead in our unprecedented commitment to election integrity.”
Readers may recall that Dhillon, the RNC National Committeewoman for California since 2016, is a managing partner of Dhillon Law Group. In addition to standing with Trump, she has fought tirelessly in courtrooms across the country for decades, advocating for fair voting rights, defending Americans’ First Amendment rights and preventing non-citizens from voting.
She was also mentioned in the 2023 conversation about who should lead the RNC. More recently, as we wrote, Dhillon represented a pro-life journalist who exposed the evils of Planned Parenthood’s plan to sell body parts of aborted babies:
