Spoilers: Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott: 1, embattled Democratic Mayor of New York Eric Adams: 0. Final result.
In an exclusive interview with the New York Post on Monday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he initially had no intention of busing illegal immigrants into New York City. Then New York Mayor Eric Adams opened his large mouth.
Abbott explained that he initially only sent buses of illegals to Washington DC to draw attention to the Biden-Harris administration’s refusal to stop the massive raise in illegal border crossings – and to reduce the pressure on the overrun border cities. Then Adams made a mistake:
“Out of nowhere, Mayor Adams started criticizing me for taking them to New York on the bus, which I didn’t do. But he continued to criticize me.”
Oops, Eric.
As a direct result, Abbott said, in 2022 he decided to send 119,000 illegals from the Lone Star State to Democratic-run sanctuary cities – including more than 45,000 to New York alone – across the country, including Chicago, Los Angeles and Denver .
Abbott repeated, as if to rub it in Adams’ face again:
I thought, ‘You know what? New York is a city of refuge. If I get the criticism, I get the recognition.” So we started taking her to New York by bus.
As I wrote in the headline, Adams deserved every minute of it.
The Texas governor claimed that his buses of illegals helped the rest of the country understand that the intentionally engineered Biden-Harris crisis was not just a problem for Texas and other border states:
Because of this process, people across the country began to understand that this is not a Texas problem. This is a United States problem. And it got them focused on the political issue, whether it was at the city council level or all the way up to the presidential level. This is not a Texas problem. This is a problem facing the United States caused by the Biden administration.

Needless to say, Adams had a different opinion, as a City Hall spokesperson told the Post:
For over two years, Governor Abbott has been using people as political pawns and sending thousands of migrants to New York City without any communication or coordination.
It should be noted that Texas, Arizona, and Florida have suffered from border incursions after border incursions during the miserable Biden-Harris administration, without any communication or coordination.

Abbott also said Texas cannot afford another four years of an open borders policy, which he knows – as does everyone else in the country; republican And Democrats – would be the case if Kamala Harris wins the election:
Well over $10 billion of our own money is flowing out of Texas taxpayers’ pockets to fund border security and deal with the Biden-Harris administration’s refusal to secure the border.
The governor said the so-called “border czar,” which Harris now vehemently denies, not only “ignored” the crisis, but also ignored previous requests to visit the border:
She has never responded. A Kamala Harris presidency could destroy Texas.
What a difference a presidential election makes to hypocritical Democrats
While Democrats – and everyone on the left – are inherently hypocritical, Harris’ crystal clear trip to the border on Friday was beyond ridiculous. Not only did she barely speak during her stay, but the National Border Patrol Council blasted her for what was nothing more than a campaign rally.

The conclusion
Of being for so-called “sanctuary cities”, to transport illegal refugees out of these cities as quickly as possible, to resist ending the border crisis for three and a half years, to throw themselves back and forth like a stack of pancakes on a sizzling frying pan and to assert claims With no plan to fix the problem, the Democratic Party’s hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Yes, you already knew that.
