The streaming community continues to embarrass Kamala Harris’ campaign as efforts to win the youth vote continue to backfire.

As RedState previously reported, extremely popular streamer Kai Cenat mentioned during a stream that the Secret Service had contacted him about collaborating with a campaign. At the time, everyone assumed it was the Harris campaign, as there were multiple confirmations from other influencers and streamers that they had been contacted for collaboration purposes.

(Embarrassing: The Harris campaign’s attempt to mobilize support with the support of popular streamers backfires)

The Harris campaign said TMZ It had never reached out to Cenat, but as Cenat noted after reading the TMZ article, he never mentioned Kamala Harris’ name and insisted he would never lie. Cenat still hasn’t said that Harris specifically reached out to him because she was unwilling to get politically involved.

*VOICE WARNING*

It seems as if the Harris campaign is trying to pin the blame on Cenat to save face, even though Cenat never mentioned Harris’ name.

TMZ says there was a third party connected to the DNC convention team trying to talk to him, and that those talks began before Biden dropped out of the race. However, if Cenat’s video is true, then this is a lie, and attempts to work with him are ongoing.

However, we do have evidence that Harris has contacted various streamers and influencers, offering them money for collaborations or promotion of Harris and the Democratic Party. For example, one influencer forwarded an offer email to Arizona Republican Jake Hoffman offering an Instagram influencer to create three posts promoting Harris in exchange for “compensation.”

As RedState reported on Wednesday, a TikTok influencer named Lauren Mochen also admitted that she was also offered to post videos praising Kamala Harris. However, she turned down the offer and warned everyone that influencers who sing her praises are likely getting paid to do so.

In addition, another streamer named Faze Ronaldo, with over a million followers, has come forward and demanded that Harris’ campaign team stop contacting him.

*VOICE WARNING*

It is not confirmed whether Ronaldo has been contacted, but if the pattern of contacting popular streamers continues, there is a higher chance that he is telling the truth.

As I wrote on Wednesday, while it’s embarrassing that the Harris campaign is being openly opposed by so many people, the strategy is by no means stupid. The current star is no longer a Hollywood denizen, but a streamer or influencer who can come from anywhere and has a gigantic, fanatical following fueled by parasocial relationships.

Many of these people want to appeal to the widest possible audience and therefore refuse to get involved in politics for fear of alienating half of their electorate. Still, the power of influencers to shape opinion is undeniable, and perhaps Republicans should start doing the same.
