Abraham Lincoln once said: “You can always fool some people, and all people some of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all the time.” The Democrats seem to have taken the last part of that quote as a challenge. They are panicking because some of their most customary constituencies are finally realizing that the Democrats have been fooling them for a long time. And more and more people who made up one of those devoted constituencies, black Americans, are calling out the Democrats for their dishonesty.
Further data on Harris/Trump are available and a clear picture is emerging (publication tomorrow):

On Tuesday, listeners of the popular hip-hop radio show “The Breakfast Club” called and criticized the Democratic Party and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, whose policies are “destroying” Black Americans and Black communities. As the Democratic Party tries to mobilize support for Harris, caller after caller came forward to say that they believe the policies of the Democrats and Joe Biden have harmed Black Americans and that Kamala Harris will only do more of the same.
It’s just a guess, but maybe the crew of “The Breakfast Club” didn’t get the answers they were expecting. A caller named Iris got the ball rolling.
“Okay, so first of all, I want to say I’m very happy that a woman is running for president and I’m grateful for that. However, I was undecided even when Biden ran again because everyone talks about, ‘Oh, let’s get the black vote, let’s get the black vote.’ And they get the black vote and nothing changes. When I say ‘nothing,’ I mean our education system. Our children are suffering in New York City public schools. And let’s talk about services. My brother is paralyzed; he was hit by a drunk driver. It’s very difficult for him to get services. And I understand that they allow the immigrants to come into the country, but they come and just overwhelm them with services and forget about the people who are already here. So what’s going to change because of that? What are they going to do with the black agenda to help our children who are struggling in New York City public schools? They’re not even at the same level as other kids in other countries, and that’s what worries me. So is something going to change because Kamala is running instead of Biden? Like, help me, we’re confused here.”

Another caller named Cali said some things that some Americans may disagree with, but he may also have expressed what many other black Americans feel.
“I don’t think America is ready for a female president. You know what, I’m a black man and I certainly don’t want another Democratic president. I think we should give the Republicans another chance. There are a lot of agendas that the Democratic Party has implemented that I don’t support. I think they’re destroying the black man, they’re destroying the black family, I think they’re ruining our country. If you live in New York like I do, man, this place is a financial nightmare, not to mention the crime. I think if we reinstate Trump, man, it’s going to be great. Kamala can’t do what he’s going to do to get this country back to where it needs to be. And that’s not a racial thing, because that’s what they like to say the most when they talk about Trump and how he’s a criminal and blah blah blah blah blah. I think none of that matters. We need to focus on his policies and he’s going to get us back to where we need to be. Kamala is not ready.”
Democrats are surely convinced that Kamala Harris will facilitate them win back a enormous portion of the black vote they lost to Donald Trump. But that may not be the case. Recent polls show Trump has between four and 23 percent support among black voters. Black Americans also live with high food and gas prices, high housing costs and rising crime rates. Combine that with the feeling that Democrats take the votes of black Americans for granted, and they have not get much for it their loyalty for nearly a century. It’s a recipe for the Democrats that Kamala Harris’ nomination will not solve. Note to the Democratic Party: Black Americans are waking up. Their time is almost up.
