Washington (Nexstar) – The pressure on the Capitol Hill to release the Epstein files continues to build, even though the legislators drive home until the day of the laboratory.

The House Oversight Committee, Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend, has charged a deposition in Florida next month.

Previously, the spokesman for the House, Mike Johnson (R-La.) Now the legislators who urged further information are made home for a month.

Johnson defends himself against the assumptions that he releases the congress at an early stage in order to avoid a vote for the publication of the Epstein files.

“Nobody administered at an early stage,” he said, after he canceled the committee for the house rules for the house rules and had canceled votes for the rest of the week.

Democrats and Republicans put Johnson under pressure to enable the house to vote on a measure that the Doj demands to publish the Epstein files.

“It makes no sense to have a voice today, since the administration is already doing everything in its power to publish it,” said Johnson.

Some Republicans remain confident, they will see the documents.

“I think in the next, during the break they will be released a few things,” said Rep. Ralph Norman (Rs.c.).

House Democratic Leadership criticized Johnson and the Republicans for not approving the vote.

The democratic leader of the House, Hakeem Jeffries, questioned what Republicans hide.

“Republicans are on the run,” said Jeffries.

A federal judge in Florida denied the request of the DoJ to publish the Grand Jury’s testimony in the case of Epstein. The Doj still urges the New York Grand jury to publish its files.
