I have to admit that MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski haven’t tried to sultry up to President-elect Donald Trump again after their very public and often heated war of words following the 2016 presidential election, but here we are.
As RedState previously reported, the “Morning Joe” co-hosts announced Monday morning that after expressing “concerns” about some of Trump’s Cabinet appointments last Thursday and saying they would “appreciate the opportunity” to speak with Trump to speak, “have had the opportunity to do exactly that.”
Although they spoke at length about many topics during their Friday visit to Mar-a-Lago and disagreed on many of them, they all reportedly agreed to “restart communication,” Brzezinski explained while dramatically discussing the whole thing Experience spoke as if the fate of America depended on whether or not these lines of communication could be reopened.

The opportunistic couple, who had just portrayed Election Day voting as a “matter of life and death,” and others on the network who echoed the Hitler comparisons, congratulated Trump “on running a magnificent and flawless campaign that has gone into the… will go down in history books,” said the president-elect himself, who also suggested that it was time to put the long-standing feud behind them.
But for those suffering under the Trump derangement system, there would be no progress:

This is why people no longer trust mainstream media. Joe and Mika, who constantly attack “fascist” Trump on their show, went to Mar a Lago over the weekend to talk to Trump.

The paid left-wing influencer “JoJoFromJerz” reacted particularly angrily. Write“Fuck Joe & Mika. Fuck Morning Joe. And fuck MSNBC if they keep her on the air.”
While I think it’s pretty obvious why Joe and Mika are doing this (ratings and money – they desperately need both), I think the reasons for the outrage behind their recent actions suggest something else: not pure contempt for anyone who would part with them not only has a liberal fever to meet with (their) public enemy number one, but rather a concern that the performative aspect of the TDS movement has just come to lithe out there:

In summary, “Morning Joe,” like many others in the media, can’t leave Trump — and contrary to their dire warnings from just two weeks ago, they’re glad to have him back.
