(NewsNation) – As President-elect Donald Trump celebrates a win over Kamala Harris This was decided by a larger majority than many expected, and third-party candidates like Jill Stein were unable to take the final result into account.
Stone, who represented the Greens In many polls across the country, he received 628,129 votes, or 0.4% of the electorate, The Associated Press reported. Stein, a Harvard-educated doctor and environmental health advocate, finished Tuesday’s election with about 27,000 votes more than the independent Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. received, the AP reported.
Stein, 74, received between 0.4% and 0.9% of the vote in Tuesday’s election in the 38 states where her name appeared on the ballot. According to the NewsNation affiliate, Stein received 0.9% of the vote in New Jersey (34,953), which was the highest percentage she received on Tuesday Decision Office Headquarters.
In social media posts, Stein posted that the country’s established parties had failed Americans. She added that Republicans and Democrats “work for Wall Street and the war machine” and that the two parties have spent trillions “on endless wars while working people fight and the world burns.”
“It’s time to forget the lesser evil and fight for the greater good as if our lives depend on it,” Stein wrote.
Stein continued to target competition from her larger parties on Wednesday.

However, voters in most places could not identify with Stein’s message. However, Stein received 18% of the vote in Dearborn, Michigan, a city just outside Detroit that has a gigantic Arab-American population.
Trump won 42.8% of the vote in Dearborn, where 55% of the population is of Middle Eastern descent. the Detroit Free Press reported. Many voters who voted in Dearborn and nearby Dearborn Heights expressed disappointment with the Biden administration’s support of Israeli attacks in Gaza, the newspaper reported.
The Free Press reported that Stein was criticized for taking crucial votes away from Hillary Clinton in her loss to Trump in 2016. Stein collected about 1.5 million votes in that election. She ran for president back in 2012.
The New York Times reported that Stein did not want to play the role of spoilsport, but rather wanted to make himself heard and recognized, the newspaper reported.
“I like her a lot,” Trump said of Stein at a rally earlier this year, The New York Times reported. “Do you know why? It takes 100% away from them.”
