Washington (Nexstar) – The Department of Government Efficiency continues its efforts to reduce federal expenses. Some Republican legislators say that Doge fulfills his mission. According to a further demand from the agency, the Democrats are pushing back for a productivity -e -mail.

Another week, another protest – this time of employees of the national ocean and atmosphere that have lost their work due to the measures of the department.

“This will be done in a completely lawless and unreleseed way,” said Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.).

Doge is at the center of President Donald Trump’s agenda to reduce federal expenses.

“We want to look at the expenses,” said Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.).

Comer supports the efforts of Doge and Elon Musk.

“I think the American taxpayers want that and we continue to see if we can find wasteful expenses and remove them,” he said.

For the second time, federal employees received an e -mail in which they list five things that they reached last week.

The first e -mail caused confusion after Musk announced that the employees would be released because they would not react while some agencies asked the employees to ignore them.

This time Defense Minister Pete Hegseth instructed his workforce to work together.

“It is really an easy task, as Elon said, how the president recognized in our first cabinet meeting. Only a pulse check,” said Hegseth.

Democrats warn that the efforts of Doges could reduce decisive programs and services to which the Americans rely on.

“Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, the billionaire, said that social security was a fraud,” said Rep. John Larson (D-Conn.).

Larson fears that social security could land on the chopping block.

The MP Gabe Vasquez (Dn.M.) said that the Ministry of Veteran affairs already suffer after more than 3,000 employees were released.

“These cuts include doctors, specialists for mental health and benefits – critical roles that veterans rely on,” said Vasquez.

Doge does not show any signs of slowing down, since the household end of the congress takes place and Republicans are striving for further cuts.
