Is the tide turning? Adam Schiff voter switches to Steve Garvey after his trip to Israel

Former Major League Baseball star and current Senate candidate Steve Garvey (R-CA) has taken at least one voter away from Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Some may say it’s just one voter and who cares, but if one person feels that way, many others in the Jewish community probably feel the same way, since Garvey takes the time to travel to Israel and speak with families there, while Schiff takes voters for granted.

Samara Weiner, an attorney and registered Democrat, told Fox News why she is switching from Schiff to Garvey:

He has pandered too much to the extreme left of the Democratic Party. That has created anti-Semitism that has led directly to violence against Jews, my community. I have not seen Adam Schiff vote for the weapons Israel needs to protect itself.”

If you’re Jewish, you’re not happy with the Democratic Party right now. And we’re really ready for someone with moral clarity… someone who will really stand up for us and do the right thing.

Garvey was a sturdy supporter of Israel and he Visited the country to meet with Lieutenant Colonel Yoni Chetboun of the Israel Defense Forces, IDF soldiers and the family of hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal, who was kidnapped on October 7.

Garvey told Fox News host Trace Gallagher:

When I talk to people and listen to them, I realize that they want to send me to places where I can come back with real answers – whether it’s the border, homelessness, street crime… but lately, I’ve been thinking about returning to Israel.

Weiner added:

I have his [Garvey’s] Fearlessness. The Democratic Party lacks a fearless leader.

Schiff has lied to over 300 million Americans and seems proud of it. He insists he has done nothing wrong. He is more focused on former President Donald Trump than the needs of his constituents and has refocused his campaign on Trump rather than his policies.

In the real world, if you get caught lying, especially as much as Schiff, you don’t get a promotion. California has a chance to put Garvey in the Senate, and the former MLB star has stated in the past that, unlike career politicians like Schiff, he will only serve one term as a senator.

Garvey added:

“Our most valuable currency is the ability to vote,” he said, adding that he was “proud” of voters like Weiner who stood up against the status quo and listened to their conscience.

I love this state. I love this country. It needed someone to stand up with political courage.

Weiner is the one who has publicly stated she has changed her vote, but that doesn’t mean she’s the only one. During the primary, Democratic Rep. Babara Lee received nine percent of the vote — these voters are anti-Israel and will not vote for either Garvey or Schiff. Democratic Rep. Katie Porter received 15 percent; however, some voted only for Porter to ensure Schiff didn’t finish in the top two. Now that Schiff is in the top two, those “Porter voters” will go to Garvey. Yes, California is a clear Democratic state, but crazier things have happened. If Garvey wins more Hispanic voters as well as Schiff voters, this race will be much closer than most expect.
