One yardstick I’ve always used to judge the intelligence of a public figure is their ability to speak off the cuff. Ronald Reagan was good at it, as was Bill Clinton. George W. Bush was only mediocre, and Barack Obama was pretty bad at the teleprompter. Joe Biden was never good at it, even before he became senile.
When Kamala Harris tries to speak, she’s a disaster. Her word salads are legendary; her delivery is stilted and awful, interspersed with her annoying, nervous giggles. She tries to sound intelligent and well-informed, but ends up sounding about as thoughtful as a bowl of beans working its way out of someone’s digestive tract.
JD Vance knows this. On Saturday, the Republican vice presidential candidate claimed at a rally in Pennsylvania that the Trump campaign hopes Harris tries to speak more often, noting that they are gaining votes. every time Kamala messes up a speech or an interview:
Kamala Harris serves so much “Word salad” during her infrequent media interviews According to Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance, the Trump campaign team is openly crossing their fingers for her to become more involved.
“Every time she [an interview]”I think we’re going to get 100,000 votes,” he joked during a rally in Leesport, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, when asked why Harris is avoiding media interviews.
Harris’ latest public speaking debacle occurred on Thursday during a star-studded virtual rally hosted by Oprah Winfrey.
She ended the show with a two-minute monologue that left many listeners confused, including Winfrey, as online commentators said the powerful media mogul appeared “lost” and “unimpressed.”
Here is their latest mess:
“We love our country. I love our country. I know we all do, that’s why we’re all here right now. We love our country. We’re proud of the privilege of being Americans, and this is a moment when we can and must come together as Americans, knowing that we have so much more in common than what divides us,” Harris said, pausing and smiling.

In terms of content, that’s a whole lot of nothing. Of course we love our country – I do too – but that can’t be repeated three times in one paragraph. The rest of that statement reads like an eighth-grader trying to escalate the word count of a book report in order to get a passing grade.
She’s just not good at it.
Kamala Harris is simply not there as a speaker, but that raises questions that are far more troubling than just her legendary, meaningless word salads. Her terrible oratory skills leave the distinct impression of an indecisive, ill-informed, insecure and, quite frankly, not very wise person. Imagine her at a NATO summit, where she would be expected to discuss issues of great consequence. Imagine her trying to negotiate with Tsar Vladimir I, Chairman Xi Jinping, or that perverted little gargoyle with the bad haircut who runs North Korea.

Kamala Harris’ team attacks, but JD Vance turns the tables with a wild comeback
Imagine her trying to deal with the mullahs of Iran – or the Taliban. That’s pretty damn unimaginable, isn’t it? Any of those bad actors would outdo Kamala Harris. She is intellectually out of the league of other world leaders, not even Kim Jong Un, and every time she opens her mouth that becomes more and more apparent. She is simply not fit for the office; at least as vice president, she was essentially a spare part, kept in reserve until Joe Biden would finally have a stroke, and as such she never had to do anything that really mattered. When she was assigned something of importance, such as the job of border czar, she made a complete Dog breakfast of that.
JD Vance may well be right. Every time she tries to speak, the Trump/Vance campaign gains votes – and we can hope that trend continues through Election Day.
