President Donald Trump tries to work on peace in Ukraine.
People on the left seem to be satisfied with continuous war, and we support Ukraine without end, without accounting. And if they have objections or wanted more of accounting, Russia somehow supported it. You can believe that Russia’s invasion was wrong, but still see that this cannot continue without a solution.
But now under Trump we finally address this question and talk about options that bids and many in the congress simply never wanted to address.

Another European civil servant unites with “warning” to Trump about the peace agreement of Ukraine
The Trump team received an objection to the historian’s approach and the Hoover Institution, Niall Ferguson, citing George HW Bush’s statement about the invasion in Kuwait: “This will not exist. This will not exist, this aggression against Kuwait.”

Vice President JD Vance had a blasty reaction.

This is moral garbage, which is unfortunately the rhetorical currency of the globalists because they have nothing else to say.
President Trump and I have had two straightforward arguments for three years: First, the war would not have started if President Trump had been in office; Second, that neither Europe nor the bidges or the Ukrainians had a way to victory. It was true three years ago, it was true two years ago, it was true last year and it is true today.
And for three years, the concerns of people who were obviously right were ignored. What is Niall’s actual plan for Ukraine? Another auxiliary package? Is it aware of the reality on site, the numerical advantage of the Russians, the exhausted inventory of the Europeans or their still tightened industrial nose?
Instead, he quotes from a book about George HW Bush from another historical time and a different conflict. This is another currency of these people: trust in irrelevant history.
President Trump deals with reality, which means dealing with facts.
And here are some facts:
While the security of our Western European allies has greatly benefited from the generosity of the United States, they pursue domestic politics (about migration and censorship), which insult the sensitivity of most Americans and defense policy that are continuously accepting.
Number two, Russians have a massive numerical advantage in workers and weapons in Ukraine, and this advantage will exist regardless of further western aid packages. Here, too, the support * is currently fluid.
Number three, the United States have a significant impact on both parties in the conflict.
Number four to end the conflict must be spoken to the people who are involved in starting and maintaining it.
Number five, the conflict dealt with tools of American state art from military inventory to sanctions (and so much other). We believe that the continued conflict of Russia is bad, bad for Ukraine and bad for Europe. The most crucial thing is that it is bad for the United States.
In view of the facts mentioned above, we have to follow peace and we have to follow them now. President Trump ran on it, he won it and he is right with it. It is lethargic, ahistoric nonsense to attack as a “appeasement” if any recognition that America’s interest must blame the realities of the conflict.
This interest-no moralism or historical illiterate is the policy of President Trump in the coming weeks.
And thank God for that.
After all, there is impulses for changes and a real end of the conflict that puts our interests first, but is ultimately better for Europe.
We submitted to Europe in 2018 that we should pay unequal for their defense with NATO, and they laughed at Trump when he criticized them to buy oil from Russia. This is part of the reason that led to the invasion together with the weakness and misstep by biden. There are solutions, and the fact that the Trump team is looking for it does not mean that they will appease Russia.
The people cheered Vances.
David Limbaugh called it “One for the centuries.”
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky) said:
Amen. Thank God we have a president and vice president who put America in the first place and recognized what was always reality in Ukraine. We should pursue a peaceful and realistic result, not for death, debt and war.
Reporter of the White House Charlie Spiering said Ferguson “complains of the loss of republican neocons like George HW Bush.”
Ferguson’s reaction was fascinating when he assured Vance that he had supported Trump and Vance and that he had most part of what he said, including his speech in Munich, about Europe and the five points he mentioned above.
Well, thank God for the free and open debate.
After visiting Ukraine every year since 2011, I have an informed and realistic view.
I criticized the Biden administration repeatedly for the fact that she did not deter Putin in 2021 and did not end the war while Ukraine …– Niall Ferguson (@nfergus) February 20, 2025
What Ferguson said he had started problems was that he thought they would enter too much of the bat based on what he read, including NATO membership from the table, the area, and peacekeeping, the China could.
I seriously hope that the Trump government can negotiate an end to this war. But if we have a peace that first distinguishes Ukraine and is then a future invasion, it will be a melancholy result. To repeat it, I agreed to most of her criticisms in Munich. I would add that Europeans have spoken about “strategic autonomy” too long without seriously trying to achieve this.
But she and President Trump campaigned with a slogan last year that goes even further as George HW Bush’s words that I quoted. This sentence was “peace through strength”.
I would notice a few things. Ferguson evaluates things that are partly based on what he reads. He is not aware of what is going on in private discussions.
I think Trump has already made his “peace through strength” clear.
Let us check:
A. He let bombs on the heads of traps Russian contractors in Syria When they fired on a US position.
B. he smoked Qasem Soleimani For attacks on Americans who are not only a message to Iran, but also to his partner Russia.
C. He imposed all kinds of sanctions on Russia and booted Russia from messages When they were out of line.
Vladimir Putin fell into Ukraine because he knew that bidges were tender.
Both Putin and China know that Trump is a different fish boiler and puts our interests in the first place.
Now Vance has just driven this home.
