Failed former National Security Adviser John Bolton has called for FBI investigations into Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) after President-elect Donald Trump announced his plans to run them for office of the Attorney General or Director of National Intelligence.
Bolton, who served under Trump from 2018 to 2019, expressed During an interview on NewsNation’s “The Hill,” he expressed his displeasure with the two politicians, stating, “I don’t think so either [Gabbard] or Matt Gaetz should have a confirmation hearing until both have completed full FBI investigations.”
The former adviser said such investigations would signal to China and other adversaries that the United States is “solemn” about its national security.
Bolton took aim at Gabbard, accusing her of parroting Russian propaganda, a popular talking point among warmongers in the Republican and Democratic parties. “Given the Russian propaganda she has been pushing recently, I think she poses a serious threat to our national security,” he said.
The mustachioed former official also went on a bizarre tirade about the Roman Empire and worked demanding to make a comparison that might somehow explain why the Senate should not confirm either nominee.
“My reaction really was that this is like the legend of Caligula, the Roman emperor, who wanted to make his horse Roman consul. In those days, to become a consul you had to be a Roman senator, and it was intended to show how degraded and degraded the Roman Senate had become. Now we’ll see if the American Senate can stand up and reject two people who are completely unqualified, professionally unsuitable, and who genuinely lack the moral qualities and character needed to hold these jobs. I think this vote should be 100 to zero against both.”
PANIC‼️
Warmonger John Bolton demands the Senate block Trump’s nomination of Matt Gaetz Tulsi GabbardAnd now he’s asking the FBI to investigate Tulsi and Gaetz…

I’m sure Bolton thought the analogy was clever, but it actually amounted to word salad that rivaled Kamala Harris’s.
Bolton isn’t the only one complaining about Gabbard and Gaetz’s nominations. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) commented on Gaetz’s nomination and said she did not believe it was a solemn nomination for attorney general.
The idea that Gaetz and Gabbard should be the subject of an FBI investigation is ridiculous. Bolton would never demand this when it came to irrelevant neoconservatives like him. He literally asked the Bureau to investigate the candidates simply because he disagrees with their policies and despises the president-elect who wants to nominate them. For this reason, people like him should never have been allowed to take office in the first place.
This kind of crazy thinking is probably why most Americans would choose Michael Bolton over John Bolton for any government job. The truth is that people move on both sides Gang members don’t think nearly as highly of the former adviser as he does of himself.
Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) said Bolton was “someone who thought he was going to be hired as commander in chief, but he wasn’t,” citing his behavior while serving under the Trump administration.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) criticized Bolton for his ridiculous claims that Trump committed treason, saying it was complex “to take seriously anyone who claims to have witnessed treason and obstruction of justice and written about it in a book.” reported.”
Democrats don’t particularly like Bolton either. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) said he “cares more about his book than his public service.” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said Bolton was “obviously interested in making money, not in saving the republic.”
The bottom line is that if people like Bolton had actually done their jobs and served the American public, his kind might still be in positions of power instead of having to rely on news outlets to give them the appearance of relevance.
