John Harwood will be bombarded next week over a tweet about trust in media, which is a major problem

President-elect Donald Trump won a major victory on November 5th in what must be considered an amazing comeback against all odds, with Democrats and the liberal media working against him.

But while Trump triumphed, there were many losers in this last election. Along with Kamala Harris, one of the biggest was the liberal media. By voting for Trump and giving him the support of both the Republican House and Senate, Americans essentially told the media, “We reject all the propaganda you have foisted on us for so long.” Not only is Trump not “Hitler,” we also believe he can solve all problems better than Kamala Harris (who helped make the problems worse).

Of course the liberal media isn’t ecstatic about that. They haven’t quite gotten over the rejection yet, and the meltdowns have been delicious. But there’s a reason CNN and MSNBC are seeing ratings drop and they’re cutting anchor pay. People tune them out. “60 Minutes'” Lesley Stahl lamented the possibility that legacy media could die. She bizarrely tried to blame Trump.

However, it is only because of the mainstream media itself that Americans no longer trust them. This is based on years of news that was untrue or biased – about Russia collusion, the spin media on Hunter Biden’s laptop, or Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, along with a host of other topics.

But former CNN reporter John Harwood even tried to dispute this fact. Check out this unhinged tweet.

Harwood quotes someone saying, “Americans have not lost trust in the media. The Republicans lost it,” referring to a Gallup poll.

“Because the media reports reality and most Republicans are disconnected from reality,” Harwood claimed.

So let’s talk about reality. There are a few problems there.

First, Republicans ARE Americans. Isn’t it bizarre that Harwood seems to think this isn’t the case? That’s the liberal mindset, to simply reject the other side. That says a lot about “media” – in this case Harwood.

Then do you notice another problem in this graph?

Where are the independents or people who aren’t Democrats or Republicans? Does Harwood just not count them? What do you think?

Here they are actual numbers for 2024.

Is it any wonder we don’t trust the media when they do things like this?

I would also add, of course, that Democrats trust the media more because they agree, not because what the media has to say is necessarily trustworthy or tied to reality.

It’s really comical that Harwood thinks this is because the media has a market for “reality.”

Harwood was absolutely crushed in a well-deserved deal and bombed on X the next week.
