Kamala Harris is ridiculously desperate and her latest moves prove it

It’s incredible how quickly things can change in politics. In August, Vice President Kamala Harris experienced a wave of artificial “joy,” backed by a mountain of positive press and an avalanche of donations. Until early September, the electoral landscape was still quite affable to her and she was on the verge of developing an air of inevitability. However, others warned that the sugar rush would soon fade.

Harris’ fate is complete turned around in states like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. At the same time, national polls have become so close that Republicans’ lead in the Electoral College could put Donald Trump in the White House. The Vice President no longer feels “joy” and her despair has become palpable.

What was once a focused, if not overly cautious, campaign has become a mess.

While there are several areas of concern for Harris, none is more concerning than her lack of outreach to male voters. Who would have thought that the presence of Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) on the ticket wouldn’t be a boon for male public relations?

Less than three weeks before Election Day, the Harris campaign is throwing everything at the wall. First and foremost, she’s trying to get on Joe Rogan’s top-rated podcast.

Forget the polls. When Harris, who finds it arduous to conduct tiny, pre-recorded interviews with left-wing outlets like CBS News, tries to approach Rogan, she knows she will be devastated. To put it simply, she wouldn’t do this if she didn’t feel like she was losing. Rogan’s show is live and long. Harris is expected to discuss a wide range of topics and also field questions she’s never been asked before, unaware that a affable group of editors will copy and paste her answers to cover up her mistakes.

However, that is not the only clue. Harris also recently launched a plan for black men that included granting “a million in forgivable loans” and federally legalizing weed.

It would be witty if it weren’t so gloomy. To Harris and her party, black men are nothing more than helpless weed addicts in need of a handout. Will this move change the calculus that has led to Trump gaining ground among one of the Democratic Party’s strongest demographics? I wouldn’t suspect it. This all feels incredibly arbitrary too. You can almost imagine Harris’s handlers sitting around a table trying to figure out how to appeal to men while a staffer says, “What if we promise black people free money and legal weed?”

With that in mind, would you like to know the biggest piece of evidence that Harris is faltering? She will now appear on Fox News in an interview with Bret Baier.

That would be the same Bret Baier who would moderate the debate that Harris refused to show up to. She and her campaign have long spurned Fox News, suggesting there is no reason for her to appear on the network. Yet here she is, giving an interview in the final moments of the presidential campaign.

What does that tell you? It shows you that she is desperate. I don’t know what the final tally will be when all the votes are counted, but I do know that Harris thinks that she will lose if nothing changes. How effective will all of this be? I wouldn’t speculate much. Men are not robots just waiting for the Vice President to reprogram them by appearing on Joe Rogan’s show. I also believe that black men are not easily swayed by superficial, somewhat insulting promises.
