Kamala Harris spoke to at least 300 major Democratic donors on Friday, assuring them that despite their own intuition, everything is fine with Joe Biden and that the Biden/Harris ticket still has the best chance of a Democratic victory over the resurgent Donald Trump.
This is a massive overstretch of the intentional suspension of disbelief.
Vice President Kamala Harris held a brief conference yesterday with the Democratic Party’s top donors to show their support for their vice presidential candidate.
Harris spoke to about 300 major Democratic donors on Friday and told them that despite the media hype, there was no cause for concern in President Biden’s campaign.
“I’m going to start by sharing something with all of you, something I believe in from the bottom of my heart. I firmly believe that you all should hear it and take it with you when you leave and tell your friends as well,” Harris told donors, according to multiple reports. “We are going to win this election. We are going to win.”
A quick Internet search revealed that this is a re-enactment of the Vice President’s promise.
Harris spoke to donors via video for about five minutes, supporting the Biden administration and sharply criticizing of former President Donald Trump Rhetoric at the Republican National Convention.
“Let me be clear: Trump’s convention this week was nothing but an attempt to distract people,” Harris reportedly told donors. “He wants to divert attention from his record and his plan, Project 2025. Can you believe they put that in writing? It’s further empirical evidence that the stakes in this election couldn’t be higher.”
Note: Trump has rejected the “Project 2025” plan. Apparently, either the Vice President’s people failed to verify this claim beforehand, or the Vice President is faking it – or both.

Let’s take a closer look at their statements.
“I’m going to start by sharing something with all of you, something I believe in from the bottom of my heart. I firmly believe that you all should hear it and take it with you when you leave and tell your friends as well,” Harris told donors, according to multiple reports. “We are going to win this election. Kamala Harris, who never lets the truth stop her from a good tirade, cannot believe this load of crap in her “deepest heart” or even in her kidneys, liver or spleen. She must be aware of the fact that, barring another unimaginable catastrophe, Donald Trump and JD Vance will be elected in November and Trump II, “This Time it’s Personal,” will premiere in January 2025.
Granted, she probably believes she’s doing what needs to be done, no matter how much cattle barn garbage she has to shovel away. As long as it appears that Joe Biden is anything but a shuffling, incoherent wreck, the Democratic campaign will have to appease the moneyed interests that provide the funding. If she has to do a job similar to what I had to do as a child cleaning out cattle pens at my uncle’s auction barn, then we can expect that’s exactly what she’ll do.
But this is a house of cards that cannot stand much longer.
