In case you haven’t noticed, Democrats and the left (but I’m repeating myself) are seizing on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s comments to Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday.

Notice what he equates with “strange”: Make pop culture references to Hannibal Lecter. In six years I have never seen him laugh. Trump is not laughing with you, he is laughing at you. According to Walz’s assessment Strange could be defined by a woman who giggles frequently and inappropriately and rhapsodizes into obscurity about Venn diagrams, yellow school buses, or falling coconut trees?
OK, boomers. Go ahead and campaign for the vice presidency. The Democrats have seized on Walz’s labeling of the Republican Trump/Vance nominee as “weird,” and are therefore working feverishly to whitewash Vice President Kamala Harris’ record and rebrand her; because if anyone embodies that definition, it’s her. Come to think of it, this rebranding exercise is also the epitome of “weird.” My colleague and editor Bob Hoge reported on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s comments on the matter:
He warned that for the next 100 days, the corrupt press will largely lie to us unscrupulously, completely ignoring Kamala’s terrible record, her nonsensical statements, and her support for President Biden’s destructive policies that have negatively impacted such a broad segment of the American people.
…what you see is that all the arteries of the left, the commercial media, Hollywood, academia – they are using all the king’s horses and men to try to bring the Democratic Party back together. [after Biden stepped out of the race].
And they have to sugarcoat Harris’ background to make her relatable to the American people – but I think we’ve all seen it.
I mean, she’s incredibly stupid, even more incredibly liberal, and she has no track record whatsoever.
I disagree with DeSantis on this point: Kamala Harris has had successes, but these have been marked by many failures and are weighted towards hostile attacks on the American people.

The same time-honored media that dragged her through the mud is now falling over themselves to mock her. Consider the label “borderline czar,” which they first praised but are now desperate to get rid of. But Harris’s superficiality is also reflected in all the facade used to cover up these destitute accomplishments. One part of the facade that caught my eye is that some of this novel Kamala fan art shows her legs. When was the last time Kamala Harris wore a dress or skirt? Harris must be too much like Hillary Clinton with the pants suits in the polls, ie badthat they suddenly concentrate on their legs. This disgusting New Yorker cover is the latest oddity to feature Kam’s Gams.

But now all is well in the neighborhood because Kamala is a symbol of sorts. The MCU has also been co-opted for the purpose of Kamala for America. Particularly embarrassing since her upbringing and politics have shown a clear antipathy to America and its constitutional principles.

The left accuses the right of what it is most guilty of. They call Trump and Vance unsafe, hateful, and weird, while whitewashing the inflammatory rhetoric, unsafe accomplishments, and the very weird Kamala Harris. Harris is now a “brat,” a defender of freedom, and an icon. Sure, Jan.

Apparently these white women with too much money and too much time on their hands have simply forgotten that Kamala Harris supported the mutilation of minors and pushed for changes to Title IX that essentially wipe out the gains and protections of women and girls.
