Remember 2019? The Trump administration’s border policies had the left in a frenzy, and they were fixated on “children in cages,” which was an insult to the way the government housed unaccompanied minors. Rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez even went to the border, dressed all in white, and staged a dramatic showand called them concentration camps.

In 2020, then-Senator Kamala Harris tweeted about the “outrageous” separation of 545 unaccompanied minors and included a link to an NBC article describing the Trump administrationFast forward to 2024, and under border czar Kamala Harris, ICE has now reported that over 290,000 undocumented minors are not only separated from their parents or guardians, but no one in the Biden-Harris administration knows where they are. Not a peep from NBC News, and the few headlines from other News organizations Use the general term “Department of Homeland Security” instead of attributing this gross incompetence to the Biden-Harris administration.

The Department of Homeland Security’s internal oversight agency says it has discovered an “urgent problem” in how Immigration officers The agency warns in a modern report that Immigration and Customs Enforcement has failed to keep track of all unaccompanied minors released from government custody.

The interim report, sent to Congress on Tuesday and obtained by ABC News, says that over the past five years, more than 32,000 unaccompanied migrant children have failed to appear for their immigration court hearings and that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) is unable to track all of their whereabouts.

The Office of the Inspector General warned in the report:

“Without the ability to track the location and status of [unaccompanied migrant children]ICE has no guarantee [they] are safe from human trafficking, exploitation or forced labor,” wrote Inspector General Joseph Cuffari in his interim report.

He called on ICE to “take immediate action to ensure the safety of [unaccompanied children] residing in the United States.”

To be fair, this crisis has outlasted both the Trump and Biden-Harris administrations. However, it has grown massively in the last three years. According to conservative commentator Steve Guest, it is a 54,945.9 percent increaseKamala Harris is responsible for this and must answer for it.

According to the interim report, immigration authorities transferred more than 448,000 unaccompanied migrant children from ICE custody to HHS between 2019 and 2023 – a period that includes both the Trump and Biden administrations.

After interviewing more than 100 officials and visiting ten ICE field offices, the Inspector General found that immigration officials “cannot always monitor the whereabouts and status of unaccompanied migrant children who are released … and [then] did not appear in immigration court as scheduled.”

When unaccompanied migrant children fail to appear in court, federal judges often adjourn hearings multiple times—delaying them for months—until they are left with no choice but to issue a deportation order.

In a statement Tuesday afternoon, ICE said it was “committed to the protection and welfare of children and works closely with [HHS] and other federal partners to fulfill their legal obligations.”

Harris is too busy running from Biden’s policies and pretending to care about her family and reproductive health while nearly 300,000 children are God knows where, possibly dead or, worse, victims of human trafficking. If the Trump campaign is intelligent, they will put this around her neck like a dead albatross and hammer away at it over and over again.
