Legalized Press Constitution: Media coverage of Kamala has already reached shameless fangirl levels

This article is not written from a point of view of surprise, but rather from a sense of awe at the audacity of it all. Look, we all knew from the moment Kamala Harris was announced as the recent Democratic frontrunner that the media would be all over her, but what we’ve seen is them stepping on the gas and pushing the nitrous button as soon as the airy turns green!

When JD Vance was announced as Donald Trump’s vice presidential nominee, the press immediately slammed him with criticism of his record and his history of opposing Trump. As I mentioned in the last Lie-Able Sources podcast—Rachel Maddow even went so far as to suggest that Vance’s naming his company after a character from Lord of the Rings was a sign of white supremacy—I expected there to be no criticism of Kamala Harris before she was christened as Joe Biden’s successor. Her rise since then has meant not only that she would be treated with kind hands, but that the media has also heaped effusive praise on the woman, and to an inappropriate extent.

The first indication of how cautious the press will be about her record is the claim that Kamala has “already been vetted.” This is utter nonsense. In her attempt to run for president in 2020, Harris failed to get her foot in the door, winning zero delegates and finishing fourth in the polls in her home state of California, eliminating her before the embarrassing result announced. She was thoroughly vetted in the debates by Tulsi Gabbard, who effectively brought Harris to her knees.

But what about Harris’ record while she was vice president? As I recently reported, her resume is nothing but a list of failures. The collective media has offered a ridiculous, pathetic interpretation of that this week, acknowledging the disaster that is Biden-Harris’ immigration record and attempting to make the watered-down claim that Harris was never appointed border czar. They’re trying to claim that Republicans invented this “fable,” yet at the time they reported that she took full responsibility at the border. Look at the media being debunked by… themselves.

But these are just political examples. The press raves about Harris, her following in the K-Hive, and the greatness of her public relations and social media efforts. At The Atlantic, there was a complete collapse of Kammy’s meme ability – less than a day after announcing that she was replacing President Silveralert. She had previously written in the Washington Post (more on that in a moment) Taylor Lorenz reliably explained the Harris social media machine.

Harris came up with a motto to appeal to the younger generation. She adopted the digital personality BRAT, a direct reference to British singer Charli XCX. Max Tani praised Kamala as “digitally savvy,” based on little more than Sunday night, they merely renamed the ratio-prone Biden-HQ Xitter account to “Kamala-HQ,” with CharliXCX’s brilliant green color. Many other Points of sale fell into the series with the enthusiastic reporting on the “Kamala Brat” theme – all from CNN, the BBC, abc news, The hill, CBS News, USA todayand many others joined in the noisy screaming, sounding like Taylor Swift fans waiting in line for the concert hall to open.

But when it comes to the seething, shameless enthusiasm for Kamala Harris, it would be arduous to find an outlet more invested in the cause than the Washington Post. If you dig into the outlet’s archives, you’ll find a flood of stories about the newly appointed party leader. Just take a look at some of these obsequious headlines.

I stopped counting after finding over two dozen characteristics of the woman, and of these only one could be considered somewhat critical, as it addressed her past as being prone to slip-ups. Otherwise, we have about 25 heartfelt reports – Twenty-five – and that’s just Sunday’s announcement!

So brace yourselves, because this is the posturing we’ll be seeing in the press for the next three months or so. It seems the media elaborate, which was exposed as a con factory when Biden fell apart on camera at the debate, has learned nothing from hanging on to this administration like a remora. We look forward to more examples exposing the shot glass-deep intellect of our journalistic superiors.
