Washington (Nexstar) – A group of legislators has teamed up to turn the board over on an economy that they say by monopolies, where some vast players control everything from food to health care, while everyday Americans only fight “Go”. The caucus urges a harder enforcement and economic reform to protect families.
“The fact that these companies have a corporate monopoly is un -American,” said Rep. Pat Ryan (DN.Y.).
The New York democratic congressor Pat Ryan is the alarm for vast companies that companies take over in his home state.
“We speak of the growing consolidation of the company power in a number of parts of the life of people, which makes life that is already hard enough and essentially makes it unaffordable for people in my district,” said Ryan.
Ryan and other democrats merged to form the Monopol Busters Caucus.
“Monopoly Power, this company power that got out of control, killed the American dream,” said Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.).
Pennsylvania’s democratic MEP, Chris Deluzio, said these companies had influenced the price of living space, gas, food, healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
“The same company could have a pharmacy, an insurer, a provider and a PBM. They have every incentive to violate people to violate small companies such as pharmacies to make it difficult for the Americans in this country to receive medicine they need,” said Delucio.
According to Delucio, too many in Washington do not crowd against these companies because the economy weighs the daily Americans.
“Too long, too many down here have pressed this company power in the blind eye,” said Deluzio.
In the White House, the President signed an executive order to ensure that the regulations have no new companies to compete on the market.
Delucio and Ryan ask their Republican colleagues in the congress to join them on this topic.
