Baton Rouge, La. (AP) -Louisiana pursues a criminal proceedings against another non-state doctor who is accused of sending abortion pills to a patient in the state, as the court documents submitted this month.

An arresting warrant against the arrest of a California doctor is a scarce indictment of violation of one of the state’s ban on abortion that has come into force since the US Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade in 2022 and enabled implementation.

It is an additional front in an growing legal dispute between liberal and conservative states on the prescription of abortion medication about telegesundheit and a post of patients.

Pillen are the most common way how abortions are accessed in the United States, and a main reason why, according to a report, despite the bans, the abortion figures rose last year.

A woman in Louisiana says she is forced to take abortion drugs

Louisiana said on September 19 that it had issued an arrest warrant against a doctor based in California who provided a woman in Louisiana in 2023.

Both Mrs. Rosalie Markzich and the Attorney General try to be part of a lawsuit that tries to free drug supervisory authorities, to ban telemedicine recipes for Mifepriston, one of the two medication that is normally used in combination for medication blur.

In court files, Markzich said that her friend used her e -mail address at the time to employ drugs by Dr. Remy Coeytux, a California doctor, ordered and sent her $ 150, which she forwarded to CoeyTux. She said she had no other contact with the doctor.

She said she did not want to take the pills, but felt forced and said in the registration that “the trauma of my chemical abortion is still pursuing me” and that it would not have happened if telegesism tests were excluded to the drug.

The accusations build on a position of anti-abortive groups that the abortive pills can be prescribed by telephone or video call and filled by post to be forced to take them.

“Rosalie courageously represents many women who are victims from the illegal, immoral and unethical behavior of these drug dealers,” said Liz Murrill, Attorney General of Louisiana.

The doctor is also confronted in Texas before a lawsuit

Murrill’s office did not immediately answer questions about what CoeyTux faces or when the arrest warrant was issued. Under the ban on abortions of the state in all pregnancy stages that were convicted of abortion of up to 15 years in prison and fines of $ 200,000.

Coeytux is also the goal of a lawsuit that was submitted by a man in Texas in July in front of a federal court who says that the doctor had illegally made an abortion pills available to his girlfriend.

Coeytux did not answer immediately on e -mails or a telephone message.

A New York doctor, Margaret Carpenter, also plays the combination of a law enforcement case in Louisiana and a Texas civil proceedings against abortion pills. The New York authorities refuses, Dr. To trigger carpenters to Louisiana or to enforce the civil law judgment of $ 100,000 against them for the Texas General Prosecutor Ken Paxton.

In the case of Louisiana, officials said that the mother of a pregnant minor asked the abortion medication online and instructed her daughter to take her. The mother was arrested, not guilty and released on Bond.

In New York civil servants, a law cited there that wants to protect patients in states with abortion banks of abortion drugs – or if such recipes violate the law.

New York and California are among the eight countries that have shield laws with such provisions, as from a balance of the Guttmacher Institute, a research organization that supports abortion rights.

The legal and political struggle for abortion pills decreases

The legal submissions that the indictment against Coeytux in Louisiana were part of the efforts of Louisiana and Florida and Texas to comply with one lawyer for Idaho, Kansas and Kansas and Missouri submitted last year in order to resolve the federal committees for Mifepristone.

This year, both Louisiana and Texas passed laws to target providers of abortion pills outside the state.

With the Louisiana law enables patients and others that receive abortions. The Texas law continues and allows everyone to sue those who prescribe pills in the state.

Both the secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Commissioner of Food and Drug Administration, Marty Makary, have explained that they carry out a complete review of Mifepriston’s security and effectiveness.

The abortion of medication has been available in the USA since 2000 when the Food and Drug Administration approved the employ of Mifepriston.
