How do you know that Kamala Harris is in trouble and that the momentum lies with former President Donald Trump?
Threatened Democrats in close Senate races are bragging about their ties to Trump as they try to move to the center to lure voters.
We previously reported that Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) said in an ad that he opposed Joe Biden to “protect fracking and he sided with Trump to end NAFTA and to impose tariffs on China.”“This suggests that he knows he needs to ally with Trump to improve his chances (even if he doesn’t actually fundamentally agree with Trump).

But it’s not just Casey in Pennsylvania.
Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) ran an ad featuring Trump saying she “got President Trump to sign her Made in America bill”:
Democrat Tammy Baldwin is also at risk of extinction in Wisconsin!
She joins Trump and doesn’t mention Kamala Harris, her party’s presidential nominee, at all.

Not only does she mention Trump in this ad, but she also mentions Harris.
Other Democrats in difficult states are trying, too Play the trump card:
According to AdImpact, Senate candidate Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) also spent more than $1 million starting in mid-August on an ad that said she “wrote a law signed by President Trump, forcing pharmaceutical companies to disclose their actual prices.” . [….]
Tester’s ads featured Montana residents who said they were “lifelong Republicans” or planned to vote for Trump but supported Tester for the Senate.
An ad from earlier this year boasts that Brown “wrote a bill that Donald Trump signed to crack down on drugs at the border.”
The last named candidate is Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
They are blowing up the Kamala Harris narrative that Trump is unstable/Hitler when they include him in ads. Furthermore, they also recognize that mentioning Trump will lend a hand them in their elections, a nod to his strength in these swing states. If they thought Harris would win, they wouldn’t see the need to do this:
Let’s take a look at the Democratic Senate candidates in the blue wall states:
Baldwin (WI): She uses Trump in her ads
Casey (PA): Integrate Trump into his ads
Slotkin (MI): Advertising against EV regulations. They wouldn’t be doing this if they thought Kamala would win. pic.twitter.com/yN1LZTFjXJ

Baldwin also reportedly ducked while appearing with Harris recently:
Kamala Harris held three events in Wisconsin yesterday. Mark Cuban was there, but no Tammy Baldwin
Baldwin also skipped Harris’ previous trip on Sept. 20

It also points to another reality: when they have to be elected, they suddenly position themselves as center or more right. This is an acknowledgment that the country is redder than Democrats generally like to admit:

We can see this as the party identity has shifted more towards Republicans with an astounding R+3 in the third quarter.
