As we previously reported, a recent interim report from the House Administration Committee’s Oversight Subcommittee concluded that the events of January 6 were preventable. Several bombshell allegations were also dropped against former Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, including that she may have tampered with a witness, Cassidy Hutchinson. The report said Cheney, the vice chairman of the Jan. 6 committee, “likely violated numerous federal laws” and recommended an FBI investigation.
Cheney didn’t handle the report well and had a soft seizure. She went on and on through the pages of the report:
Your claims do not reflect a review of the actual evidence and are a malicious and cowardly attack on the truth. No reputable lawyer, legislator or judge would take this seriously.
But what she didn’t do in her statement was address the questions about her communications with Hutchinson.
As I said, we may soon find out whether a “respected lawyer, legislator, or judge” will take this seriously if the FBI takes up the case.

Liz Cheney throws a tantrum after Republicans’ bombshell accusations against her
Rep. Barry Loudermilk, chairman of the Oversight Subcommittee, impaled Cheney’s response.
“Cheney claims the special committee report was based on the testimony of hundreds of witnesses whose testimony was made public. However, Cheney and Thompson did not release ALL of the transcripts. They hid transcripts from first-hand witnesses that directly refuted their “star witness” Cassidy Hutchinson’s sensational story, which Cheney had personally obtained.
“Americans can see the facts for themselves. That’s why I have always published first-hand reports and evidence, even today.” I am publishing the transcripts of the interview with USSS personnel that directly refute Hutchinson’s story. The Cheney-Thompson special committee conducted these interviews and had this information, but chose not to release it publicly.
“Former Chairman Thompson may not be aware of these transcripts as they refute his committee’s narrative, so I understand his confusion. I encourage him to read these transcripts prepared by his special committee.”
“I also ask Chairman Thompson to explain why his committee’s vice chair, Liz Cheney, conducted secret conversations with the committee’s “star witness” behind his back.”
Now there’s more bad news for Cheney.
A majority of voters support an investigation into her actions at the Jan. 6 committee.
According to a fresh Rasmussen pollFifty-seven percent of likely voters supported Republicans calling for an FBI investigation into Cheney.
Of the 57 percent, 36 percent strongly agreed and 21 percent somewhat agreed. Only 33 percent rejected this.

I don’t think Cheney expected this during the election, and I’m pretty sure Kamala Harris didn’t either. Another example of how Harris completely misjudged the opinion of the American public. She embraced Cheney, thinking that she was somehow striving for a mystical, middle voice to represent Cheney. But as the people of Wyoming have proven, Cheney has no constituency except Democrats, and those people have already voted for Harris (or sat out). She didn’t add anything. Harris lost only to those on the left, who saw the embrace as a cynical rejection of all her previous concerns about Cheney and her father.
But the report and survey will certainly reinforce the call for action for Kash Patel if he is approved to head the FBI.
