According to the latest reports, the driver of the vehicle was killed and several others were injured. Earlier footage circulating online showed emergency services at the scene, including several police vehicles and at least two ambulances.
According to Huff Post, while older Tesla models like the Model S have been known to catch fire under certain conditions, it is unlikely that the Cybertruck, which has been recalled several times since its debut in slow 2023, has a similar defect.
Earlier Wednesday, Eric Trump posted about the event on social media, writing:
Earlier today, an electric vehicle fire reportedly occurred in the porte cochère of Trump Las Vegas. The safety and well-being of our guests and employees remains our top priority. We sincerely thank the Las Vegas Fire Department and local law enforcement for their quick response and professionalism. @TrumpLasVegas
This is a developing story that RedState will continue to monitor.
