In this episode of “Who Didn’t See That Coming?”…
Facebook co-founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta Platforms (DBA: Meta, formerly Facebook, Inc.) has paid a whopping $1 million into President-elect Donald Trump’s founding fund. This was Zuckerberg’s latest attempt to reconcile with the novel president after he admitted to Congress that Facebook was censoring users at the request of the Biden-Harris administration.
Before we end the article, let’s first do this: Raise your hand if you think Zuck’s “peace offering” is true.
(For the record, no one raised their hand. Don’t ask me how I know this; I just do.)
As I reported on August 26, Zuck later said he “regrets” giving in to White House pressure, writing in a letter:
I believe the government’s pressure was wrong and I regret that we have not been more open about it.
Uh-huh. Zuck’s mea culpa was the equivalent of a miniature child being caught by his parents for stealing a cookie or two before dinner or for slipping out the back door to play while he was supposed to be doing his homework.
Even well-known law professor and political commentator Jonathan Turley didn’t buy Zuck’s “regret” nonsense. Turley wrote then (emphasis mine):
For those of us who have criticized Facebook for years for its role in the massive censorship system: Zuckerberg’s delayed remorse was more insulting than inspiring. It was the genuine regret of a stalker hiding under a victim’s bed.
Zuckerberg’s Sudden regret came only after his company struggled for years to hide evidence of its collaboration with the government to censor opposing views. Zuckerberg was finally here forced to hand over the documents by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and the House Judiciary Committee.
As a conservative writer who has been posting content on Facebook for around 15 years, I have watched Zuck’s Playground become increasingly bold and obvious in its censorship, often bordering on the ridiculous. So again, please.

Zuck comes in and admits to Jim Jordan that Facebook has been censoring Americans at the behest of the Biden-Harris admin.
Then the “unimaginable” happened. Left unthinkable, that is: Trump won the 2024 presidential election.
Three weeks later, Zuck traveled to Palm Beach, Florida, to meet privately with the president-elect at Mar-a-Lago, ostensibly because he “wants to support renewal.”
Zuckerberg’s visit was confirmed by Trump adviser Stephen Miller during an episode of “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News. Müller told Guest host Brian Kilmeade:
Mark Zuckerberg has clearly stated his desire to be a supporter and participant in this change that we are seeing across America and around the world with this reform movement that Donald Trump is leading. Mark Zuckerberg, like so many business leaders, understands that President Trump is an agent of change and prosperity.
OK, again: Oh, please.
As exclusively reported from the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, while Trump harshly criticized Zuckerberg throughout the 2024 presidential campaign: “Ties [between the two] have improved.”
The donation [to Trump’s inaugural fund]confirmed by the company, is a departure from previous practices by Zuckerberg and his company, and comes after a campaign in which Trump threatened to punish the tech tycoon if he tried to influence the election against him.
The contribution and efforts towards it woo the novel administration are emblematic of the balancing act for technology CEOs their companies have often been the target of Trump and other Republicans’ ire, and their workforce leans heavily to the left.
Now, Republicans are poised to take control of the White House and both chambers of Congress and calls for novel regulation of technology, Some executives are taking a novel stance toward Trump.
It’s the “kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar” thing again.
And for the record: Zuckerberg and Meta (particularly Facebook) and other “guilty” tech companies were not the target of Trump’s wrath because their workforces lean heavily to the left; They were targeted by Trump and other Republicans because they did it worked against Trump and conservatism, Often, content that favors the former president or criticizes the policies of the left or presidential candidates is suppressed or completely censored.
In related news, the Journal reported:
Amazon founder Jeff BezosLong an enemy of the elected president, Trump congratulated X after the election for “an extraordinary political comeback and a decisive victory” and said this month that he “This time actually very optimistic.” At a New York Times conference, he said: “What I’ve seen so far is that he is calmer than the first time and more confident, more relaxed.”
Ah, crawling is the best. That is, when those who crawl before you know why they are doing it. We know why they do it. And they know that we know why they do it.
Meanwhile, the Trump Train rolls on.
