The trial of Donald Trump, the election, the polls, the economy – everywhere you look, the Democrats and the administration are struggling. As a result, the compliant media convoluted has panicked, distorting or avoiding anything negative for President Biden and desperately trying to describe the catastrophic impact should Trump return to power, leading to more and more examples of ridiculousness.
Currently, news outlets are solely focused on an ineffectual flag controversy involving Justice Samuel Alito, ignoring the abject fiasco of Biden shelling out over $320 million for a floating pier in Gaza to deliver aid—which was promptly stolen by Hamas—and then watching it fall apart and sink within two weeks. No wonder a pine tree flag is considered vital.
As for the trial in New York, things did not go well at all for the Democrats. One key witness revealed on the witness stand that she speaks to the dead and performed an exorcism to rid her boyfriend of evil spirits. The other not only turned out to be a complete liar, but also confessed to embezzling tens of thousands of dollars, confessing to a crime that goes far beyond what she is accused of. This led to numerous conflicts in the press.
Trump was placed under a news gag order by the judge and the press was eager to report every example that could be construed as a violation of the order. However, the same press was instructed to by the same judge not to disclose the personal data of the jury, and the journalists were unable to follow this elementary and ethical order.
A few weeks ago, House Speaker Mike Johnson appeared in Manhattan to express his concerns about the case, and the press behaved as if this were a novel type of attack on the entire legal system in this country. Katie Tur suggested that GOP members were on site intimidate the jury; the fact that she and George Conway were among the many other names also present was not seen as influential. Brian Stelter went further and said it would be outlandish for Democrats to make such appearances.
I’m just trying to imagine if Democratic lawmakers will show up at the trial of Senator Bob Menendez – or the trial of Joe Biden’s son Hunter. pic.twitter.com/zGjqRajjDv

Then the Democrats promptly appeared at the courthouse. Members of the Joe Biden campaign brought actor Robert De Niro (Why???) and Capitol Police officers to broadcast messages about January 6. This had no bearing on this case at all, but was intended to influence a decision. There was not a single critical word from the Associated Press about this appearance, and Mr. Stelter never condemned this appearance – neither that Biden was supporting a Democrat-inspired lawfare case, nor that it was used for campaign purposes, nor that Biden might influence a jury.

Now we get another dose of desperation that breeds contradictions. During the trial, there was an uproar over the revelation that presiding judge Juan Merchan has a daughter whose company was raising money for Democrats using the costs of the trial. This had been flagged as a possible conflict of interest, but the press reacted vociferously, declaring that it was inappropriate, both for any media outlet to report it and for Trump to repeat it publicly.
We see that it is a very versatile standard. Rolling Stone is out with a scathing review of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. It turns out that (GASPING!) Her husband, an attorney, has represented Fox Corporation. The outlet doesn’t explain why this is considered problematic or unethical, it simply suggests that ACB didn’t disclose her husband’s business details in their disclosures, which… proves something we can only assume. His case isn’t before their court, so no conflict of interest is apparent.

This is what happens when stories are brought up by those involved and the facts fade into the background. Republicans appear in court? Unusual! Biden’s campaign team does the same? Restrained policy on their part!
Anyone who delves into the professional details of a judge’s family must be criticized for such an attack! However, when it comes to a conservative judge, their spouse and career are fair game. This is true regardless of the claims made just weeks earlier.
