As RedState updated, in the wake of Wednesday’s terrorist attack on 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom and 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe, two members of the West Virginia National Guard who were shot and killed blocks from the White House, a lot of information is emerging about the alleged terrorist, 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwala. Following the attack, RedState reported that Lakanwal arrived in the United States in September 2021 as part of former President Joe Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome program, which was put in place after Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Video clips from 2021 are also emerging of then-Ohio State Senator (now Vice President) J.D. Vance, former U.S. Army Captain and current Assistant Secretary of War for Public Affairs Sean Parnell, and others who were highly critical of this program designed to allow 30,000 unscreened Afghan refugees to enter the United States. The effort has received overwhelming support from Republicans and Democrats, but Vance and Parnell’s warnings seem almost prophetic in the wake of this heinous attack on two American soldiers.

Sean Parnell appeared with Tucker Carlson on Fox News in 2021 and talked about his personal experience with the Afghan terror that cost the life of one member of his platoon. An Afghan translator who had worked in Parnell’s unit for a year had deceived them. Parnell said the translator “was with us every step of the way and was someone we considered our friend.”

It is obvious that the ideology of jihad does not recognize friendship with infidels. This translator is built into this unit to learn its procedures, strengths and weaknesses in order to strike. Parnell later discovered that this translator had been working with an Iranian IED cell in Pakistan to plant the bomb and had guided them over the bomb to explode. Four of Parnell’s soldiers were seriously wounded and one was killed.

Parnell told Carlson:

Just because an Afghan cooperates with us and is friends with us does not mean it is protected to bring him here. And that is why we cannot bring 30,000 unscreened Afghan refugees to the United States. This is irresponsible policy and honestly, I can’t believe we even have to have this conversation. American citizens must have – must be a priority.

TO WATCH: :

WATCH: Sean Parnell spoke out against bringing untested Afghan ‘refugees’ to America in 2021, telling the story of a longtime translator in Afghanistan who betrayed his platoon.

People forget that in 2021, it was a lonely and brave position to take.

Countless establishment Republicans in Congress, along with virtually the entire donor class, sided with Biden and supported bringing these people to our country.

I’ve seen firsthand what MAGA conservatives like @JDVance, @Jim_Banks AND @SeanParnellUSA they were mercilessly vilified and attacked by the RINOs in the GOP for opposing her, but they were right all along.

Dream. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) was one of those Republican legislators who spoke out in a full-court press in favor of allowing Afghan refugees to come to America, seeing it as the least we could do for them. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) has worked to open his state to this influx, receiving 10,000 of 30,000 Afghan refugees to Texas. However, mounting evidence shows that any form of verification was sketchy or non-existent. So who knows where these refugees are today? As the investigation into the National Guard attack in Washington continues, Graham, Cornyn and others should be questioned about their roles in Biden’s agenda.

Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, who planned a terrorist attack in Oklahoma on Election Day 2024, was never properly vetted by the Biden administration. He went into hiding and conspired to disrupt our electoral process for three years. Now Rahmanullah Lakanwal is raising the same red flags. As RedState reported, Lakanwal was cleared by the Biden administration because he worked “with the U.S. government, including the CIA, as a member of partner forces in Kandahar, which ended shortly after the chaotic evacuation,” CIA Director John Ratcliffe told Fox News Digital.

The New York Times exclusive article also asserts that Lakanwal had mental health problems due to the brutality he witnessed during the US investigation. government job: :

According to a person briefed on the investigation and an Afghan intelligence officer familiar with the case, the Afghan refugee accused of shooting two National Guard members in Washington fought there at the end of the U.S. war as part of “Unit Zero,” a paramilitary force working with the CIA. These units were known for their brutality and were called “death squads” by human rights groups.

The suspect, identified by federal officials as 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, grew up in a village in the eastern province of Khost. A childhood friend, who asked only to be identified by Muhammad for fear of Taliban retaliation, said Mr. Lakanwal suffered from mental problems and was concerned about the casualties caused by his unit.

“He was telling me and our friends that their military operations were very difficult, their jobs were very difficult and they were under a lot of pressure,” Muhammad said.

Why would anyone consider this type of person a candidate for resettlement in the US? The fact that Lakanwal was linked to the CIA also sets off alarm bells. Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) is one of the Subversive Six and has been extensively involved in the War on Terror as a CIA analyst. In her Senate campaign, she bragged about her work at the State Department, the National Security Council and the Pentagon. As the FBI seeks to question the Subversive Six in connection with this bizarre video they recorded a few weeks ago, a legitimate point of interest will be whether Slotkin had any connection to the alleged Afghan refugee vetting – and especially whether she had any connection to Lakanwal.

An even more crucial question remains: Was Lakanwal granted refugee status or did he slip through the cracks, disappearing into society? Are Tawhedi and Lakanwal isolated cases or part of a terrorist network that is waiting for a specific moment in particular cities to activate? Thanks to the Biden administration, records and information on these individuals are sketchy or incomplete, so the FBI will have to piece together this puzzle. Right now, the blame and finger-pointing is obscuring what should be the priority: finding and removing these 30,000 Afghan refugees from our country.

The Trump administration has pledged to seek justice for two National Guard members and to re-vet every Afghan refugee. But in airy of the damage, it’s like putting a bandage on a pulsating artery.

Since this is a developing story, we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
