As we reported, the Republican Party in the House of Representatives released a sensational video taken on January 6, 2021, as then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) left the Capitol to escape the riot. In the video, Pelosi said: “We have no responsibility for what happened there, although we should have,” and she admitted “Responsibility for not simply preparing for more.”
🚨 Since January 6, 2021, Nancy Pelosi has spent over 3 years and nearly $20 million creating a narrative to blame Donald Trump.
NEW VIDEO shows on January 6, Pelosi GAB:
“I take responsibility.”

The video was shot by her daughter as part of her HBO documentary, and Republicans requested it from HBO as part of their investigation. This is the first time the video has been made available to the public.

Failure causes democratic narrative to implode
Now Pelosi is reacting to the release of the video. Her answer is actually a bit humorous, but it also requires a lot of nerve.
Crazy Nancy says newly released video in which she says she “takes responsibility” for not deploying the National Guard on January 6 is “revisionist history” 🤔 pic.twitter.com/AUF8ZpWr67

Pelosi claimed that former President Donald Trump and his “sycophants” were attempting to conduct a “history revision.”
“We can’t let ourselves get dragged into this again,” she said, sounding confused and stumbling.
“False Perdition [sic] of what happened that day. You know what happened that day,” Pelosi said. She seemed to be doing a “Biden,” even down to the almost closed left eye, in addition to the incoherence and babbling.
The funny thing, however, was that she claimed that producing her own words was “revisionist historiography.”
In a way, she’s right; it actually revises and undermines the Democrats’ narrative. But she can’t attribute her own words to the Republican Party or Trump. She’s the one admitting it, on a video recorded by her own daughter.
Then the then chief of the Capitol Police, Steven Sund, also spoke up and did not hold back with Pelosi’s comment.
Pelosi was surprised we didn’t have a National Guard on January 6th?? I was denied National Guard support multiple times before January 6th, and repeatedly ON January 6th for 71 minutes.
MY STORY HAS NOT CHANGED!@RepLoudermilk @oversightadmn https://t.co/BIrV49GV6d– Chief Steven Sund (@ChiefSund) June 10, 2024

In other words, he rejects their surprised reaction and points out that his request for aid was rejected several times before and on January 6.
Who turned it down? Here are some previous clips explaining who turned it down. Note: It wasn’t Trump who offered the National Guard.
Sund says he wanted aid but had to get approval from the Capitol Police Board, which he was denied twice, he later told Tucker Carlson.
It’s 100% true… Steven Sund, former chief of the Capitol Police (took office on January 6, 2021, but Pelosi demanded his resignation the following week), said he had to get approval from the Sargent at Arms of the Senate and House of Representatives, who work for Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell. pic.twitter.com/GuxI2EA79b

Sund said the same thing during his testimony before Congress. Watch this clip to the end to find out why.
Sund’s attempts to secure National Guard protection are well documented—his requests began several days earlier.
Pelosi was the one who opposed the presence of the National Guard. (Paul Irving was her Sergeant at Arms, responsible for Capitol security) pic.twitter.com/6hbSqPs6S4

According to him, the House Sergeant at Arms told the Senate Sergeant at Arms that they would have to come up with a different response to Sund’s request because Pelosi “would never go along with it.” Oh.
Furthermore, in his testimony before Congress, Sund pointed out that Pelosi actually spoke to him that day, contrary to what she claimed after January 6. So he is saying that Pelosi’s statements about that day were not true.
Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund testified before the House Administration Committee this week. His appearance was largely ignored – for obvious reasons

Pelosi can call it revisionist, but the only one trying to “revise” things here seems to be Pelosi.
