The left’s tantrums continued Thursday as the losing side pointed fingers, engaged in embarrassing public riots and launched circular firing squads.
Take, for example, David Plouffe, who was Barack Obama’s campaign manager in 2008 and served as a senior adviser to Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign. On Wednesday, just hours after Harris suffered a brutal election defeat to Donald Trump, Plouffe took to X/Twitter to vent his anger and take a not-so-subtle dig at Joe Biden.
After praising Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon, Plouffe tweeted:
“We dug out of a deep hole, but not enough. A devastating loss.”
Plouffe’s tweet has faded into memory, we’ll get to that in a moment, but the internet is forever.
Plouffe’s last tweet before he apparently wanted to delete his account.

This “hole” is obviously the four disastrous years of Joe Biden’s presidency. Cleverly supported by Kamala Harris, of course, but Plouffe would never admit that.
Plouffe’s views were not well received in the Biden White House, and an unnamed Biden staffer called Plouffe a “hypocritical idiot.” Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich had this detailS:
Obama aides try to blame Biden for Harris’ loss. In response to Plouffe’s tweet, one source in the Biden world called Plouffe a “hypocritical idiot” – another said: “I find this so unproductive.” Joe Biden is the President of the United States and won without you. He successfully beat Donald Trump – something he never managed to do.”
What happened next? Well – Plouffe! – David destroyed his Twitter account.

Plouffe didn’t even send the world a farewell message before unceremoniously deleting his account. But his message is clamorous and clear: he doesn’t want to take responsibility for Kamala’s defeat and knows he screwed up by criticizing his own team. Plouffe makes a pretty good living from donations bad political advice — he’s apparently the one who advised Kamala to skip the Al Smith dinner — and doesn’t want to risk future employment opportunities by actually being truthful about what happened to Democrats on Election Day.
It never seems to occur to those on the left to actually think about what went wrong, why it went wrong, and what role they played in the failure. It’s always someone else’s fault.
The reality is that the policies of David Plouffe and Barack Obama were thoroughly rejected by voters. Once the frigid kids of progressive politics, Obama and Plouffe and their divisive politics only find favor with red-headed communists.
And the thing is: the Plouffes of this world didn’t see it coming. While they cashed their huge paychecks and patted each other on the back for hating Donald Trump, the rest of the country moved on. Blacks and Hispanics began supporting Republicans, and even disaffected Generation X turned out for Trump. Instead of acknowledging these political realities, the left is deleting its social media accounts and retreating into its sorrowful, insular echo chambers.
Plouffe isn’t the only leftist to quit Twitter in anger; The vile Alexander Vindman’s vile wife also appears to have made a “Plouffe!”

You remember Rachel Vindman. She is the cheerful soul who tweeted The after the second assassination attempt on President Trump: “No ears were hurt. Go on with your Sunday afternoon.”
But apparently frail egos was damaged on election day. Expect the anger and vitriol to continue for at least four more years as Democrats fail to come to terms with their unpopularity.
