Queers for Palestine offered $1 million to hold a Pride parade in Gaza

Almost a year has passed since the brutal attack by Hamas terrorists on Israel, and in that time no more bizarre or uninformed movement has emerged than “Queers for Palestine,” also affectionately known as “Gays for Gaza.”

People of common sense looked on in horror at the gay and transgender activists who proudly participated in the pro-Hamas and anti-Israel protests that took place across the United States in the days following the October 7 massacre and continue a year later.

We assumed that they were a miniature group of ill-informed people who would soon be educated by those more well-read. We expected to see fewer gay pride flags alongside the Hamas terrorist flag. Their hatred of Israel and support for all things “woke” couldn’t blind them to the fact that they would most likely be killed if they set foot in Gaza, could it?

We asked amusedly: “You know what happens to homosexuals in places like Gaza, don’t you?” Here is just one taste good:

Finally, events promoting gay rights have been banned in the West Bank since 2019, and all participants face arrest.

In 2016, Hamas killed one of its own senior terror commanders for having sex with another man. In 2022, a juvenile man was beheaded in the West Bank because he was gay. His killer shared a video of the atrocity on social media.

I don’t want to go into too much detail, but many LGBTQ residents of Gaza are seeking refuge from persecution and certain death in – here comes the thing – Israel. Leftists tend to put themselves on the wrong side of history.

The sorrowful reality, however, is that support for Hamas from the LGBT community in the United States appears to have only grown stronger, leading many frustrated realists to encourage Hamas to extend its support to Gaza.

And one of these realists is investing a lot of money in this effortGregory T. Angelo, former chairman of the Log Cabin Republicans and current chairman of the New Tolerance Campaign, has offered $1 million to any pro-LGBTQ group that has the courage to hold a gay pride parade in Gaza or the West Bank.

Angelo explained:

“This campaign was born to challenge these supposed advocates of LGBT equality and to put our words into action,” he continued. “I think this is a real opportunity for these groups to legitimately engage and host an event that either highlights the fact that the Palestinian territories are actually not a good place for LGBTQ people to live, or that could be a breakthrough for pluralism and peace in the Middle East.”

Angelo has been at the forefront of gay activism from a conservative perspective and understands the mentality of the radical LGBTQ activist community very well. He says, “For the left in the United States, all oppression is the same oppression. And I think the left – to its own detriment – lumps everything from racial discrimination to sexual orientation discrimination to gender discrimination to Islamophobia together. That’s certainly not the case.”

In miniature, the left is constantly offended by the wrong things.

Angelo wants to make it clear that his Offer is earnest and the necessary resources are available.

“I don’t want people to dismiss this campaign as some kind of publicity stunt or something that’s meant to be funny. It’s actually a legitimate offer,” Angelo told Fox News Digital. “Of course, the $1 million prize is something eye-catching. It was designed to attract attention; it was designed to draw attention. But the bigger driver behind this project is equality and comprehensive human rights.”
