As RedState reported, the moderators of ABC News’ presidential debate faced intense and justified criticism for their handling of the event, with conservatives and even some independent observers pointing out that the debate quickly devolved into a three-on-one matchup against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The main problems revolve around the one-sided fact-checking, the fact that some of the facts they checked about Trump were wrong, they changed the rules for muting microphones about half an hour before the debate (which had previously been a demand of the Harris campaign team) and that they had at times called on Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris to participate in the debate in some sort of coordinated action.

One of the co-hosts, Linsey Davis, was criticized by Republicans for her incorrect fact-checking of Trump’s statements on the abortion issue. Instead of questioning her, LA Times published a eulogy about Davis, praising her performance and claiming, “Colleagues consider her old-fashioned in her commitment to fairness and balance.”
However, a statement that Davis herself made during the interview caused a stir. In it, she apparently admitted that they had checked Trump’s statements so thoroughly because they wanted to have a different debate than the CNN debate. At that debate, Trump’s performance and Biden’s disastrous performance led to Biden having to drop out of the presidential race almost a month later and being replaced by his vice president:
Davis, wearing rose-colored glasses at breakfast at the Ritz Carlton in Philadelphia, said the decision to correct the candidates was a response to the June 27 CNN debate between Trump and President Biden, whose indigent performance led to his exit from the race.
“People were concerned that statements were simply left hanging and not [be] “This was not disputed by candidate Biden or the moderators at the time,” Davis said.
Um, that sounds like she’s saying the serene part out clamorous, which is that she doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Kamala Harris as happened to Joe Biden:
I said the reason the moderators behaved the way they did in the ABC debate was simply that they didn’t want to let what happened to Joe Biden happen to Kamala Harris, and here she is admitting it.https://t.co/8uwshNkQl7 pic.twitter.com/x48TIQrz18

Trump was right when he announced earlier that there would be no more presidential debates after this one. In most cases, they are biased and rigged against the Republican candidate, and that is exactly how Tuesday’s debate went.
Davis’s admission will not spark an outcry from the press, calls for “reform” of the way debates are planned and conducted among the pundit elite, or self-reflection from ABC News/Disney’s senior management, one of whom happens to be a close friend of Harris’s and even introduced her to her future husband: Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.
My goodness, imagine that.
