Random Inauguration Day Observations (in no particular order)

I admit that I don’t usually particularly enjoy watching inauguration ceremonies and their preparation, even when a Republican president and vice president take office.

It’s not that I don’t think they’re vital; They’re just not my thing.

But I watched the inauguration of Donald Trump, America’s 47th president, with excitement because, more than at any time in recent memory, I woke up feeling like Monday was a fresh day in America, a day full of promise and hope , one that showed a fresh, better way The Striker would be shaped in a way we’ve never seen before, by a man who defied the odds and changed the way politics is done in Washington, DC , radically changed has.

So without further ado, here are my random observations about Monday’s festivities, in no particular order of importance:

Even Trump’s enemies on this stage (and there were many, including twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton) must respect the hubbub. The guy just never gives up, even after two assassination attempts. He just keeps going.

Also, I think it wasn’t long ago that he rode in a garbage truck and handed out fries at McDonald’s. He’s really come a long way.

Barron Trump is now about 8 feet statuesque. Wows.

When Vance was introduced at the ceremony, I couldn’t support but notice how he exuded so much effortless confidence that you can’t support but blush. I’m sure he had a few butterflies, but he looked like it was just a normal day at the office. Calm, cold and collected. I look forward to seeing more of what he brings to the table over the next four years.

And when his children came to him as he took his oath of office, my eyes began to cloud over. What a sweet moment.

First Lady Melania Trump absolutely nailed her fashion choices for the day. Second Lady Usha Vance also looked fabulous.

Then again, are you kidding me with this outfit, Lauren Sanchez (Jeff Bezos’ fiancée)? Get real.

Was I the only one who noticed Joe Biden staring at Carrie Underwood? So be frightened. I saw some people on Twitter/X claiming that former President Bill Clinton and former Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff did the same thing, but I didn’t catch it.

Detroit Pastor Lorenzo Sewell’s prayer made me stand up and shout “Amen!”

What’s not so positive: It’s clear that the mainstream media has learned absolutely nothing. The interactions between them and the Trump White House will be even more fun this time than during his first term (and there were some really good ones back then!).

I like the fact that Trump has wasted NO time getting straight to work on issues like cleaning up the State Department and withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement. The extra forceful copy will no doubt be passed around in democrat/media circles on this day.
