Welcome to the RedState weekly briefing — where we take a quick look at the most-watched stories of the week, in case you missed any of them. Grab a cup of coffee (or something stronger as we head into the home stretch of election season) and sit down with this 21st century weekend edition of your favorite publication (online)!

#1 – Catherine Herridge Spills the Tea on CBS About Kamala Interview Editing Scandal – by Nick Arama

The Harris campaign is trying to run away from the scandal. “We do not control CBS’ production decisions or refer questions to CBS,” a Harris campaign aide told Fox. Uh-huh. Did they ask for parts to be aired or not aired? Note that their answer simply states that they do not “control” the production decisions.

CBS isn’t talking, so things aren’t looking good for them.

The Trump campaign is understandably calling for the full transcript to be released.

#2 – Karma is a bitch: Trump hater gets his just reward in hysterical video – by Bob Hoge

Listen, I understand that tensions are high and that this may be the most consequential election of our lifetime. But that doesn’t mean violence and vandalism are okay. My neighbors – who I really like – have a Harris Walz sign in their front yard. Even if I could dream of setting it on fire, I would never do such a thing because it goes against who we are as a people. Leftists, on the other hand, think it’s perfectly okay to burn down anything that contradicts their worldview.

But now this guy has found out the challenging way that actions have consequences. I can imagine what my hapless colleague Ward Clark would say: “Those Trump supporters did it.”

And indeed they did.

Welcome to karma, Beta Male with your useless mask and intolerant hate. Have a nice day.

#3 – Trump’s entertaining, no-holds-barred interview gets ’em rolling as he explains Joe Biden’s true talent – by Nick Arama

He praised Musk for loving the country and “picking a side,” noting that supporting the opposition now may come at a cost (because of Democrats), which is a worrying turn of events for the country . He mentioned that he had supporters who were hesitant to be public supporters for this reason. But Elon “gave it his all,” which takes courage. He also spoke about returning to Butler, Pennsylvania, and the importance of honoring fallen firefighter Corey Comperatore and supporting the two men injured in the July assassination attempt on Trump.

Schulz asked about his fatherhood and a entertaining story in which Don Jr. asked if he could invite five friends over even though he thought his father was out of town. He ended up bringing over 200 and his dad showed up. It didn’t go well.

#4 – United Cajun Navy’s Brian Trascher confirms a Blackhawk “rotorwashed” a resource site in western North Carolina – by Jennifer Oliver O’Connell

In a telephone interview with Trascher, he said the text message was just one of many. Trascher said that by studying the videos and listening to eyewitness accounts from volunteers and staff on site, UCN determined that the helicopter was likely a UH60-standard Blackhawk and that the pilots were wearing military-style headgear.

Yes, it takes two pilots to fly. One of those things, and both were wearing the standard Department of Defense equipment, the headgear.

A video recorded by another passerby on the site was also leaked, with much commentary and speculation about government involvement – that it was a deliberate attack, along with the usual sweeping conspiracies about Hurricane Helene and its causes.

#5 – Fox News makes an incredibly sharp move just in time for the election – by Teri Christoph

As RedState’s Sister Toldjah noted in September, “That Democrats are having to compete for these voters more than they have in decades confirms two important things: that more and more people in their normally reliable voting blocs are fed up with wokeness, and that Republicans.” Persistence pays off.”

It’s obvious that Fox News has also noticed this trend and knows that conservative viewers are their bread and butter (and the liberal hate watchers, of course). So it’s incredibly sharp for them to launch this fresh product in the weeks leading up to the election. It’s also sharp to air the show on sports networks because it appeals to Hispanic viewers who may not watch classic newscasts.
