Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s daughter-in-law attended a private meeting with John Ratcliffe, President Trump’s nominee to lead the CIA, apparently as part of a bid for a high-ranking position within the agency. The Washington Post reported.

The Post reported that Amaryllis Fox Kennedy met with Ratcliffe to discuss her work as deputy director of the agency, which she sharply and openly criticized.

The Post cited “people briefed on the discussions” as suggesting that Trump himself was interested in having the younger Kennedy in his administration in a national security role after she led her father-in-law’s independent presidential campaign.

Following the newspaper’s reporting, Fox Kennedy, who previously worked as a CIA official, took to the social platform X and explained what she believes are solemn institutional flaws within the agency. In a long postShe described a “drastic decline in the quality and quantity of our human intelligence” in dealings with foreign governments such as Russia, China and Iran over the past decade and a half.

“This is the direct result of political appointees using the agency as a weapon against the very American citizens it was created to defend,” she wrote.

Fox Kennedy, who is married to Kennedy’s son, continued to denounce “members of the intelligence community” who, in her view, had a specific political agenda surrounding Trump’s dealings with Russia – what the Republican Party has dubbed the “Russia hoax.” partisan narratives have pushed forward.

She also appeared to mock emerging opposition from some intelligence officials to having a member of the Kennedy family close to the agency, decades after fringe conspiracy theories about the CIA’s assassination of former President John F. Kennedy failed to gain traction with the American public had found.

“A Kennedy at the CIA, they’re worried. No further arming of our secret services, they complain. She is against censorship, they whine. They complain that they don’t believe in arming terrorists. They think that coups and wars should be avoided, they cry. She believes in the president, she despairs. As a DJT loyalist in Langley, they cry. It must be stopped at all costs!” she wrote.

According to the Post, the Republican president-elect, who has already tapped unconventional figures for senior government positions, expressed that he was “impressed” with Fox Kennedy after meeting her and others at his Palm Beach club Mar-a- , Florida. Lake.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was briefly pushed by some Trump allies for a top position at the CIA before he was eventually chosen to head the Department of Health and Human Services. Since then, Kennedy has been privately fixated on presenting an alternative story, without evidence, about the death of his uncle, the former president.

Axios reported this week that “RFK Jr. told people that Fox Kennedy…would help get to the bottom of the JFK assassination,” citing “two Republican sources.”

The idea has already raised concerns among Kennedy’s own family, who have vehemently opposed his novel approach to Trump. In the latest sign of defiance, his cousin Jack Schlossberg called Kennedy a “Russian spy,” citing the Axios report on X.

“.@RobertKennedyJr You’re so obviously a Russian spy… They all think I’m joking. Hahahaha,” he wrote.
