I don’t know how he does it. But here we are, another day that ends in “y,” and it’s another day where Republican strategist Scott Jennings has to unleash multiple fireballs of misinformation on a CNN panel.
It’s almost impossible to follow the bouncing ball of lies told by several panelists in this segment, but we’ll try.
The overall failure of a segment begins with left-wing social media content creator Leigh McGowan expressing her belief that President-elect Donald Trump will “send the military into blue states to make them behave.”
“What are you talking about?” an incredulous Jennings responds.
“Can I just make sure I understand your position that you believe Donald Trump will use the military to stage coups in the capitals of states he didn’t win?”
Good God. @ScottJenningsKY must delete several rhetorical attacks in this CNN panel that repeatedly lie and imply that Trump will send the military to “make blue states behave” or to shoot and kill “American citizens.”

At that point, host Abby Phillip chimed in, suggesting that Jennings took things a step or two too far and then immediately took things a step too far herself.
“Trump wanted to use the military to do things domestically that the military isn’t actually allowed to do,” Phillip suggested. “I think that’s the point she’s making.”
Jennings asked for an example of such a “thing,” to which the CNN anchor replied, “Like deporting illegal immigrants. That’s not really a function of the military.”
“The military can absolutely not be used to cooperate with local officials in providing military resources, but also to cooperate with other parts of the federal government and local officials. “We are already sending the National Guard to the border,” he replied.
Under certain conditions, the National Guard may be involved in immigration enforcement. With the approval of the governor of a state, the National Guard may Detain individuals. Such a move will be even more decisive if, as he has expressed, Trump declares a national emergency due to the border crisis.

Anyway, back to our regular CNN show about ignorance and gaslighting.
Philadelphia Daily News columnist Solomon Jones jumped into the fray, making the wild claim that “the military should not take up arms against American citizens.”
Hyperbole, party of one.
Jenning rightly points out that illegal immigrants are not American citizens at all.
“They are not. You keep saying that. This is about illegal immigration. “You all keep saying American citizens,” he replied. “It’s about illegal immigrants.”
Jones then keeps things going by explaining that the only way to solve the problem is to shoot people first and identify the bodies later.
“Well, how do we know if they’re illegal or not? “We know after they got shot?” Jones said, channeling his inner AOC. “We know after they die?”
McGowan and Jones insist they are not I’m talking about illegal immigration, and that’s what the entire argument is about.
Jones claims: “We are talking about the American people; We are talking about taking up arms against it with a military that is supposed to protect it.”
“We’re in fever swamp, Abby. “I’m sorry,” Jennings said. “Because they say he’s sending the military to shoot and/or round up American citizens. Not true.”
McGowan counted with one last lie.
“We didn’t say shoot people, Scott,” she insisted, even though it had been said just seconds before.
It’s on video, Leigh. And as RedState’s Sister Toldjah reported just yesterday, McGowan is the same moron who said Trump is “talking about firing squads” and “making sure anyone who is his enemy is punished.”

I’m not sure how Jennings does it. He has to constantly sweep away the lies from all sides of these CNN panels, like some kind of master of the ping-pong arts.
And then he comes back the next day and does it all again.
