Washington (Nexstar) – the Senator of California, Alex Padilla, was violently removed from the press conference of secretary Kristi Noem in Los Angeles, where she praised the law enforcement for protests against ice attacks.
“I was forced to the ground and was tied up with handcuffs,” said Padilla.
Padilla said he didn’t want to ask anyone.
“You can only imagine what you do to farmers to make chefs into day workers in the municipality of Los Angeles and in California and all over the country,” said Padilla.
Nobody criticized the interruption during their immigration press conference in which the law enforcement praised.
“I think everyone in America would agree that it was inappropriate,” said Noem.
DHS called the political Move Political Theater and said that Noem and Padilla had met after 15 minutes.
Senate Democrats are in the weapons about the removal of their colleague.
“We shouldn’t tolerate that,” said Senator Cory Booker (Dn.J.).
The Democrats called for an investigation and asked the measures against the senator.
“If a Senator of the United States can be treated in this way, none of us are ultimately immune,” said Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.).
The Republican Congressman of Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Greene, says that the senator is against the law.
“It looked very aggressive. Looks like he was attacking the secretary of the home protection. And he attacked police officers,” said Greene.
The Republican chairman of the Senate John Thune says you want the facts about what happened before you have published an answer.
