Decision Desk HQ released some astonishing numbers on Friday showing Donald Trump holding a narrow lead in two Democratic states that voted for Biden in the last election, which could derail the president’s re-election if they turn against him in November. The poll found Trump up a minuscule 0.2 percentage points in Virginia and an absolutely eye-opening 1.6 percentage points in Minnesota.
The Gopher State’s numbers are stunning not because the former president is so far ahead – 1.6 percent is a compact lead – but because he is in a state where Biden won with seven last time. It must be a good sign for the Trump campaign – and an ominous one for the Biden team – that Trump is even competitive in the deep blue state where the George Floyd/BLM riots originated.
But at least in this survey he is competitive:

And it’s not the only poll Trump is winning in Minnesota; Team Trump celebrated another poll released by McLaughlin and Associates that puts Trump ahead. no matter who else is on the ballot:
Survey highlights
The survey outlines three different election scenarios:
Four-way voting: Without Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s lead over Biden increases to 5 points, with the vote split at 44% for Trump and 39% for Biden. Support for Jill Stein and Chase Oliver increases to 5% and 1%, respectively, while undecided voters remain at 11%.
head to head: In a head-to-head race between Trump and Biden, Trump would have a narrower lead of 2 percentage points at 47% to Biden’s 45%. Undecided voters make up 8% in this scenario.

A Republican presidential candidate did not win the state since 1972– 52 years ago – when Richard Nixon prevailed. Trump’s ground team is changing the narrative that he can’t win there:
Trump tries to conquer Minnesota while Biden stumbles and blunders
Trump’s numbers are also on the rise in Virginia:
The poll numbers in Virginia have just worsened for Joe Biden
The former president could also strengthen his position in the Old Dominion State, where no Republican presidential candidate has yet won the election. since 2004by choosing Governor Glenn Youngkin as his running mate.
Stories from McCabe: If Trump picks Youngkin, he’ll secure a 12-year ticket
Polls are polls, and they are often wrong, we all know that. Nevertheless, they are usually wrong in favor of the Democratsso the Trump camp must be cheerful with these results, while the Biden gang’s panic attacks are likely to only get worse. Biden’s policies have made life worse for the average American, and as he continues to crumble before our eyes every day, more and more of his once-trustworthy supporters seem to be asking, “Can we keep going like this?”
Perhaps people in Minnesota and Virginia are asking themselves the renowned question: “Am I better off than I was four years ago?” For the expansive majority of Americans, the answer is a resounding “no.”
