I don’t know whether the 2024 presidential campaign gave veteran Democratic strategist James Carville stomach ulcers or not, but it appears that the “Ragin’ Cajun” jumps from one thing that upsets him to the next. And for good reason.
After weeks of warning Democrats that the cognitively incompetent Joe Biden must go, Carville is now warning his party against becoming too arrogant toward its up-to-date likely presidential candidate, Kamala Harris.
I have to be the skunk at the garden party. That’s too triumphalist, OK? Everyone is going crazy. I look at the coverage and it’s great. If I had to write a piece about my opinion, it would be called “The Ice Pick Is Coming,” OK? Get ready, they’re coming. All right? And it’s good. Everyone should feel good and liberated and everything else. But if we don’t win the election, we’ve done nothing.
Breaking news: For the first time, I agree with everything Carville just said.
How could you not? Not only the exuberant coronation of Harris, but the frantic attempt to rewrite her history — or even erase it — is insane. Both the Democratic Party and its puppet media are trying to turn the far-left San Francisco woman into a Mother Teresa, for heaven’s sake.
“This kind of exuberant euphoria will not be helpful for much longer,” warned Carville, “because we will not be confronted with it.”
Again, correct. Donald Trump and the Republican Party have a wealth of incriminating background information on Harris, from her time as Attorney General of California to her failed 2020 presidential campaign to her comments as Vice President – and her do nothing three and a half years in office.

To describe what Harris needs, Carville used a boxing analogy: a medical assistant assisting a boxer between rounds of a fight, rather than the Democratic euphoria that currently surrounds her.
I think the Vice President needs – to put it in sports terms – a really good cut man on the corner because she is getting ready to make a cut.
It’s still the same country [with Biden out of the race]. All right? The atmosphere might be different, but I’m saying good things. Bang your helmets against the locker, that’s fine. But when you go out there, you’re still facing Alabama.
Just get ready, because you’re right, these Republicans were caught off guard, but they’re going to bounce back, and we’re going to have to start a campaign, a whole campaign.
All I’m saying is, be careful guys, don’t go too far out there. If we don’t win this, all this good feeling will go away and be for nothing, and I think that’s my role right now.
As Carville’s blood flows deep democratic blue, he “forgot” to mention that “these Democrats” will continue to portray Donald Trump as the spawn of the devil, will continue to compare him to Adolf Hitler, and will continue to spread the absurd nonsense that the former president and the “MAGA Republicans” are an “existential threat” to America.
Carville gave a similar warning about the Democrats’ love affair with Harris in former CNN host Don Lemon’s podcast.
Right now they’re doing well, very well. This is their best day for the rest of the campaign – they’re coming. They were hit demanding, they were confused, but now they’re coming together and the Democrats need to prepare for that.
I don’t know anything about Trump and the Republicans being “really hit hard” or “confused,” but I knowledge that they have a wealth of legitimate material with which to attack Harris – and I also know that the Democratic Party, despite its attempts to rewrite or erase their history, can do nothing to stop it.
