There is no denying at this point that the mainstream media as a whole has been actively involved in covering up President Joe Biden’s deteriorating health, starting before he officially became the Democratic nominee in 2020 and continuing through the disastrous presidential debate with Donald Trump in June 2024 continued (and the immediate consequences) when they could no longer cover up Biden.
What particularly insulted the intelligence of the American people was the fact that so many in the mainstream media, including NBC News’ resident Democratic apologist Chuck Todd, feigned shock after the debate and pretended they hadn’t seen it coming .
It wasn’t long, however, before so-called journalists like Todd admitted that they had certainly seen it before, and in some cases were even briefed on it by senior administration officials – but refused to report it to Time.

About six months into the fallout from that debate, former CNN editor-in-chief Chris Cillizza posted a confession of sorts on his YouTube channel about his previous coverage of Biden while he was at the struggling network. Cillizza acknowledged that he should have asked more questions and that the outrage that Biden’s handlers had expressed several times was expressed would Asking her about it intimidated him into not pressing the subject:
As a reporter, I have a confession to make. I should have pushed harder sooner for more information about Joe Biden’s mental and physical well-being and any signs of decline.
So, let me explain. Joe Biden was president from 2020 to 2024. I worked at CNN until 2022. During that time, early in my time at CNN, Republicans would call me regularly and say, “Why don’t you ask Joe Biden more questions?” How is he doing? He is [an old] Man.’ And I would kind of dismiss them because I would say, “Well, there’s no obvious evidence that he’s declining.” Yes, he moves a little slower, he talks a little slower, but there’s no sign of him slowing down .”
And the White House and the people around Joe Biden were absolutely unyielding that it was offensive to suggest anything and to ask whether he was in a physical, mental or both condition. “How could you? It’s age-shaming.’
And I think that influenced me in a way, because even though I’ve asked the question from time to time, you know, not directly to the White House, but to aides and people in that orbit, I haven’t really pushed it myself am candid.

I’ve watched this clip several times and I think each time I watched it I found myself rolling my eyes a little more in the back of my head and here’s why.
Any self-proclaimed “reporter” who apologizes and confesses that he didn’t do more to actually do his job by demanding answers about Biden’s health is just being self-serving because he thinks it will make him look better , by “plain-talking” about the things they should have done during Biden’s presidency but didn’t.
The only reason they are upset about the issue is that, in their opinion, if the Democrats had done their job from the start, they might have been able to force Biden out of the presidential race much sooner, giving them a chance to prevail in primaries where the eventual nominee would have had more time to make his case to the American people and potentially defeat Trump on Election Day, which is what the press wanted.
I mean, who is Cillizza trying to fool here? Not only did he allow himself to be intimidated into not dealing with the issue; He was one of the most crucial media representatives ever suggests it It was unseemly and cruel for Trump and others to question Biden’s suitability to lead the country:

So, no. Pseudo-apologies will not be accepted. Cillizza knew it. Todd knew it. The New York Times knew it. They all knew it, even as they falsely accused others of being slanderers and posting so-called “cheap fakes” for daring to raise questions about the mental acuity of the President of the United States.
And the reason they didn’t say anything is because they agreed to drag Biden over the finish line again to prevent Trump from winning a second term as president. It’s that uncomplicated.
