Symone Sanders and other liberals go crazy when they touch Trump’s tribute to Corey Comperatore

Many people were so grateful that former President Donald Trump was not seriously injured in the assassination attempt last Saturday. His reaction also said so much about him: He stood up, clenched his fist and shouted, “Fight!” to show people that he was OK.

The incident left one man dead, firefighter Corey Comperatore, who had bravely jumped to protect his family. Two other men, 74-year-old James Copenhaver and 57-year-old David Dutch, were also injured in the shooting.

When Trump delivered his speech on the final night of the convention, he took the opportunity to honor Comperatore. It was a very moving tribute, with Comparatore’s firefighting equipment on stage to remember him. The equipment had been sent by his family and the fire department. Trump asked for a moment of silence and then noted that there is no greater love than to give your life to save another.

He also pointed out that they had raised over $6 million for the victims and their families.

Trump had spoken to each of the families. Comperatore’s widow said he called her and “was very nice and said he would continue to call me in the coming days and weeks.”

“I told him the same thing I told everyone else. He left this world a hero and God welcomed him. He did not die that day in vain,” she said. said about her husbandaccording to a screenshot of the post.

Anyone with a soul would consider this a stunning moment to honor this man.

Yet some on the left showed how deep their Trump Derangement Syndrome runs by attacking Trump over the tribute, particularly the spelling of Corey Comperatore’s name on the jacket. It was spelled “Compertore” without the “a,” but they apparently didn’t take the time to find out why. They thought they simply saw it as an opportunity to attack Trump, regardless of the disrespect they themselves showed to the moment they were honoring him. The “a” was left off because, according to his fire department, only a certain number of letters could fit on the jacket. So that’s how it’s always been.

This led the left, who only spread nonsense and never check facts, to claim that the jacket was phony and/or Trump/RNC misspelled his name. One post was verified by a Community Note.

Here was an example of the insanity that Symone Sanders spread on MSNBC.

Sanders said she was “disgusted” by the “prop.” “And then they misspelled the man’s name,” she complained.

Then she seemed to go right into a conspiracy theory.

They said, ‘Oh, we’re so grateful that the fire department sent us this.’ These are local fucking dollars, OK? This isn’t Chicago Fire. Their names aren’t on the back of the jacket. You think, who are we kidding here? But then they put the name on it and spelled it wrong. I just thought, if we’re going to do props, let’s at least do it right.”

It’s challenging to believe that people on the left have a heart when they act like this. This isn’t about a prop. This is about a man who gave his life to protect his family. This isn’t about their Trump hatred, but they can’t even put that aside, not even for this moment.
