In this episode of “Hypocritical Democrats and the Hypocritical Things They Do” …
The radical left (socialist) governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, Kamala Harris’ vice presidential candidate, loves tax increases. Most states have cut taxes at least once since 202128 states Income tax Interest rates, 15 states lower Corporate tax and several other states are lowering VAT Prices and property taxes. But under Walz, Minnesota was an exception, one of the few states that Increase taxes in recent years – despite high surpluses.
Again, suffice it to say that tax-loving Tim Walz has probably never seen a tax enhance that he did not happily welcome.
However, when it comes to Pay taxes, There is at least one example in Walz’s past where he failed to pay taxes when they were due – and it is a hilarious example.
Walz’s China travel company was closed by the Nebraska government in 1968 because he Small trade taxemerges from company documents.
Did I mention the tax was only $26?
Educational Travel Adventures, Inc., which Walz founded with his wife in 1995 to offer group tours to China, was dissolved by the Nebraska Secretary of State in April 1998 for “nonpayment of business taxes” – just $26 annually. The company remained closed for years, although Walz continued to organize group tours to China.
In 2008, after Walz was elected to Congress, he paid back $235 million in taxes and interest for the previous 10 years to restore the company’s registration.
The tax squabble runs counter to Walz’s policies as governor of Minnesota, where he pushed through some of the most aggressive corporate tax increases in the country. House Republicans are investigating his former company, Educational Travel Adventures, as a possible target of Chinese government influence operations.
While Walz’s failure to pay his business taxes was likely a slip-up, it’s captivating that his company was dissolved for the nonpayment. You’d think he would have received one or more notices from the state for nonpayment. It’s also ironic that the tax-mad Walz has at least one case on his record of not practicing what he preaches — and imposing on the citizens of Minnesota.
Not surprisingly, Walz continued to organize student exchange trips to China for four years after closing his company and founded a novel company of the same name in Minnesota in 2002. He reportedly stopped managing these exchange trips a year later.
Tim Walz aspires to be the candidate of “rural America,” but his policies will destroy rural healthcare
Harris campaign afraid to exploit Tim Walz for hilarious reasons
House Republican Party subpoenaed Minnesota Governor Walz over $250 million COVID-19 fraud scheme
Walz’s company, Educational Travel Adventures, Inc., has also caught the attention of Republicans in the House of Representatives.
Rep. James Comer (R-KY), Chairman of the Oversight Committee, announced on August 16 that he would launch an investigation to clarify, among other things, whether Walz’s student exchange trips was subsidized by the Chinese government and whether Walz himself may have been “the target of or recruited for CCP influence operations.”
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) is launching an investigation into Minnesota Governor Timothy Walz, Kamala Harris’ recent vice presidential nominee, after reports surfaced detailing the governor’s longstanding ties to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations and officials.
In a letter to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray, Chairman Comer requests information, documents, and communications related to the CCP-affiliated companies and officials with whom Governor Walz has worked. In addition, he requests any warnings or advice the FBI may have given Governor Walz regarding U.S. politicians who have been targeted by the CCP or recruited for such influence operations.
How captivating it will be to see The How will the investigation unfold? On the other hand, I have a feeling that Christopher Wray and the FBI will do as little to support Comer and his investigation as possible.
Meanwhile, the pompous government loudmouth Tim Walz will continue to rail against “the rich” and huge business ad nauseam. I don’t know what’s wrong with the guy, but I’m sure he’s not who he says he is.
